Sammy sells they units and giveblittle support, I have an s4 and seen 2 updates and can assume that I have had my lot shame on Sammy more models than they can handle.

s5 mini has 1.5 GB of ram just like s4 mini but it will be getting lollipop!? Is this another foolish move that will force people to buy new phones with the same hardware only with updated os!?

It's got 8 GB memory and 1.5 GB RAM. It should be able to handle it, the Moto G 2013 does.

well your devices are working fine its not a big deal to have lollipop when i had the s3 and was updated to 4.3 i regret it because the phone was a crap after the update

LOL Windows Phone devices with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal will get WP10 and Android devices cant handle LP5? This is just not cool for many many users....

AnonD-280302, 25 Apr 2015That's good, they treated my S3 the same way :Dthe reason is s4 mini can't run lollipop is the internal memory(8Gb). the reason behind s3 cant receive kitkat or lollipop is because of insufficient ram(1Gb). but the lte variant of s3 got updated to kitkat. Samsung tried their best.

Hmmmm... Let's check Xperia T2 ultra and C3 it has 1GB RAM and SD 400 chipset, luckily SONY giving updates for those phone to lollipop 5.0.2.

S4 mini was lucky to get KitKat in the first place knowing Samsung...
S3 mini never got any update and got stuck to 4.1
They got many devices with 1.5 GB of ram that they run lollipop including s5 mini. Just say it reached EOL and cut the bullpoop.
