I was thinking of buying this phone as everything seemed superb and irresistible except for one thing i.e. *** No Memory Expansion Card Slot ****
I mean what do they think while making such a nice phone to forget about the memory expansion? When they can think of all the nice specifications for the phone how they can not think about the memory of the phone? Who on earth these days stays with just 12GB of user available memory space on the device? At least they should have given a card slot supporting 32gb memory card or they should have released a 32gb or 64gb version of the phone.
Such a crappy thinking to not give a memory card expansion slot. I would rather now wait for Lenovo K80 or Asus Zenfone 2 as both these phone have higher built-in memory as well as a memory expansion slot and on top of that they offer 4Gb RAM for the highest version.

I attended the Delhi launch and got hands on the device. Its got a good built and looks are sexy, but without external memory, its useless. If you go for HQ videos and games, it will fill in a flash. Then keep deleting stuff.
If there is no memory support at least xioami should had released 32/64 GB variants as well. This is stupidity. A great phone reduced to uselessness.
Camera is ok, not that great. Display is sharp and nice, no complaints there. With this price tag, its a steal. But memory card is kind of deal breaker for me.
Xiaomi says, it made device for India. They didn't do their research right. India doesn't have the kind of 3G-4G connectivity which allows us to store our media on cloud. We download and store our songs/movies on device.
Without external memory, it will be just a normal smartphone. Not a complete multimedia device.
Bad decision Xiaomi.
