awesome, leading technology, I love you mediatek.
I bought some smartphones and tablets with mediatek, really satisfy me indeed, so fast, even better my previous smartphone with Qualcom 810 chipset. MT6795 with 3GB RAM is so awesome, so fast, better graphic, not hot, no lagging... I love it, and now mediatek will release 10 core helio X20, unbelievable, I can't wait to test it if available in the market for tablet and smartphone.

It's already been thought of by development.
When do solo core processing, all 8 cores will heat up exponentially while delivering the same performance for a single task.
If 2 cores will do the same task, it will be cooler and faster.
Hence, the logic for having multiple cores working on a single task.

Ur gna nedd allot of salt for this one, why not use cores independently rather than as a cluster or manipulate the frequency and use only 72's

Anonymous, 13 May 2015Same here. Using Core 2 duo 2.20 Ghz CPU. And guess what? I... moreI'm using a Dual Boot tablet with Call and SMS and a full Android Tablet with Call and SMS where both are using the dual core version of Intel Z3735F clocked at 1.8Ghz. Yes, both GPU and multitasking functions are ALOT better than their mobile counterparts.

So I'm wondering if this is just another gimmick to inflate Smartphone prices.

Is this going to be a 64-bit chip or back to 32-bit?

Before haters and trollers comment further, please note that this question is for future consideration of flagship phone-PC hybrids.
With the advent of Windows 10 (assuming all editions will support call and sms across all platforms), the current usage of softwares and multi-tasking require 64-bit or PC based performance.

I've seen this working on Dual Boot machines and Android OS is super fluid with Call and SMS built in compared to the mobile counterparts (i.e. Smartphones).
These machines are, at minimum, uses a Dual Core Intel Z3735F clocked at only 1.8Ghz.
Multi-tasking in Android OS is more than fine with this setup so Im wondering if the new Mediatek architecture will be good enough as they claim it to be or will it be another marketing scheme to inflate the already inflated smartphone industry.

                                        For the news:
Many cores doesn't mean allways performance, look for AMD 8 cores not powerful against 4 core i5's or i7's.
