NOKIA was very reliable phone manufacturer, but unfortunately it's mobile hardware division is now owned by Microsoft. I'm not sure whether wether they can attract top quality hardware manufacturer (the likes of Asus, Oppo, Meizu etc.) to be their partner. They are well experienced in software making, but they have to make a right decision who will deliver the quality they had before. I think they should cooperate with Asus.

There's really no point partnering with Microsoft. They're not ethical. They ruined experience of Symbian users who were using mobiles just 8-10 months old!! Half the Nokia staff left the place, and many of those who didn't leave, were laid off just recently.
Even KTM acquired Husqvarna, but KTM still kept the legacy alive. But no... not Microsoft. They'd rather suck anything dry to make their muscles bigger, and then spit it.
CLEAR LESSON: NEVER PARTNER WITH MICROSOFT.

This will teach a lesson for every phone company out there: Don't trust partnering with Microsoft.

Of course it's not working. You can only have one peak. After that it's either downhill or remain on top. Let's not forget that the market is completely saturated (with regards to high-end devices). Today it's merely users whom are at the end of one subscription plan looking for a new device/plan.

These corporations are just too big. Their top-level personal are too greedy. That is the major reason why they can't keep their boat afloat. Despite the gazillion of devices these guys sell each year it's never enough.

There is a mistake in this article. The earliest Nokia can release a phone on the market is Q4 2015, not 2016. The Microsoft deal blocked Nokia from releasing phones before December 2015. So we're likely gonna see a phone early next year.

Anyway, I think Nokia should partner with Jolla. They are made up of former Nokians and they're Finnish too. Would be great to see the second coming of MeeGo.

Nokia, Google and HTC should team up for the next Nexus or something! Nokia with its camera expertise, HTC with its BoomSound speakers/audio expertise and provides the software - Android, obviously. Design all three companies contributes! = PERFECT

Nokia 808 PureView (2012) and Nokia 1020 are best in camera phone and Nokia 920 it is one of the best regarding good screen big memory and ram very good construction. Nokia knows how to make a good phones, reliable phones, flagship phones. I do not care about screen resolution as much as a good all around construction and long time function.

Too little too late. Android has reached its peak already in terms of software and hardware innovation. Even Samsung and LG are trying to go very gimmicky with their curved screens to try and capture another smartphone peak, but it's not working. I don't see how Nokia can bring something new or different. The only company that can gain in the smartphone is really Apple. They get to control both hardware and software so the innovation possibility is there.

Well I guess its over the dispute between samsung phones vs. Apple Iphone- cos both nokia and microsoft are planning to extircate and lead in the turf of making the suitable smartphones.

Shaun, 14 Jul 2015I Think Nokia must concider partnership with Blackberry bec... moreI tend to agree with that. Nokia still has a settled name in the phone industry and therefore they aren't new, they still have the goodwill... many people who would instantly buy a new Nokia phone. The same with BlackBerry, though not as big as with Nokia, but both companies have an established name in the industry.
