HTC is no longer part of the TWSE 50 stock index in Taiwan

07 September, 2015
A decline in the sales of high-end smartphones has caused the manufacturer’s stock price tumble over the past several months.

Only a moron would buy anything HTC now. The company is going bankrupt in a few month and any warranty coverage and software update promise can be invalided during bankruptcy proceeding.

Taiwanese news are reporting the company is secretly force-retiring its R&D department because under Taiwanese labor law company have to report number of lay-offs and pay former employees severance pay.

They need to stop doing things like launching the M9 and then just two months later launching the M9+ which addressed all the complaints people had about the M9 but made available only in China.

HTC needs proper leaders that know how the market works. And what people really want to buy. They also need better marketing. They have been at the smartphone game longer than some chinese manufacturers but they are still a less known brand. Doesn't this simple fact bother them? Almost every one I speak to doesn't know that an HTC brand of smartphone even exists.

Thats what you get from copying Apple. Bruises and failing. HTC did well before the One series started to fall.. and fall and fall.

HTC you are in android land, you know slots / rm battery in your flagship is totally required.

                      Pssst Samsung? You hear that??

                          Please Nokia,
With the $12 billion cash that you have, it is so easy to you to acquire HTC.
You need a new handset division, and HTC has great engineers and plants.
HTC current value is less than $2 billion.
Nokia please, buy HTC and save the rest of a lost legend company.
HTC has the great staff and worst management!

                            Adios hTc...
It was good whilst it lasted...

This sounds more bad than it actually is. In any case if hTC really wants to come back to front line again they need to make phones with a good camera, and make the awfully big bezels to cut short (no wise person eventually will care about Boom Boom speakers), so the screen to body becomes better, and cut the other nuisance issues like a simple scratch at camera lens cover ruining the photos and all those. They have the best built, their displays are pretty nice, and they know how to make the basics right, so unless they want to be at loss, no one can put them in to.
