What I do not agree with is terms like "fandroid" "fans of OEM" etc. Yes I use Samsung and love my phone but that doesn't make me a fandroid or fan of Samsung. I was just talking about what Samsung has to offer. Before Google realised fingerprint scanners are important, Samsung, Motorola implemented it.Infact Apple drew inspiration for scanners from Motorola only. That and only that forward thinking is what I like. And u can use scanners to login into websites too on Samsung phones without entering passwords.And enable Private mode too. ;)
Yes, linking it deep into Android by Google itself would make it more useful.

Some ar... moreAgain a case of person who clearly hasn't used latest Touchwiz before deciding to fire the keyboard and start typing. Samsung has removed all of those useless features like eye ball tracking,air view etc. And what remains like pop up play,floating windows,split screen have been copied into iOS 9 (if that is a standard for good OS for you).

To my understanding, what is missing in 5.0 is a direct patch to stage fright itself, but due to other things in place even without a direct patch there was no exploit. That of course means there is a possible security risk still there. A risk that has existed since the beginning of android, and hasn't been exploited due to other security measures in place.

Zero kn... moreIt DOES work with unpatched Lollipop devices, but requires a different approach from the one of the original researchers (I'm not giving you the exploit code for that one, but you can easily find Google's own admission of fixing this in Lollipop -- You should ask yourself why would they fix something, TWICE, if it wasn't broken in the first place.).
I also happen to know for a fact there are PIs using this in the wild.
Do note that exploits are NEVER the end-game. People don't see the exploit itself, they may (or may not) see the malicious intents performed with that exploit. If the intent is to charge you for premium SMSs then you eventually see that bill (not a pop-up saying "it's stagefright!"). If the intent is to spy on you then you blissfully think nothing is amiss.

Some are good i would admit but there are other's that are bad and useless to majority of people. And a lot of features actually lag and create stutters on the phone after some time, something you will hardly see on the Nexus device, at least for my 3 years ago Nexus 7 with 1GB ram

I come to the opinion that Google should just release new Android versions silently, targeting only developers. Only show to the consumers the products, ie. the new Nexus phones.
I mean seriously, what's the point of announcing to the world of a new Android OS when your last version is still only used by a minority of users? There are barely a few phones on 5.0, let alone 5.1.1. Heck, many companies are still releasing "new" phones using 4.4 in 2015. That's the sad reality. Android version should be just like Chrome, silent updates.

Screen recording was present back in Android 2.3, but it's not until KitKat where it actually became awesome.
"Oh Samsung had fingerprint scanner for a while now"...and it was used for what exactly? Now there's native OS support for it, so you can use it in things other than unlocking your screen.
Anything Google adds to Android should be appreciated by everyone, including OEM fanboys for the only reason that this will allow OEMs and app devs to improve on it regardless who came up with it originally.

And then there's the fact that you get software support for 24 months, and by then you wouldn't have warranty and can get stock roms anyway.

As far as functionality goes, the s5 by samsung already had more functionality than the iphone fingerprint scanner. And here you are talking nonsense after saying you don't come to non-apple pages.

now I have a moto x style I anticipate getting android m in November some time,
Motorola are good at updating, but not flawless which seems to be a myth that websites and forums are pushing

I am 'excited' App permissions are coming to Android stock now. I am curious how fast developers will update their apps to work with the new permission model.
