AnonD-70078, 07 Oct 2015I think there a good priceWell that's where we'll have to agree to disagree.

I hope I'm wrong, would like to see these devices do well, and by doing so help put windows Phone on a more solid footing.

I just don't see it happening I'm afraid, as i said it think the platform needs some kind of edge to get it seriously into the race.

This hardware at these prices is good, but does not stand out in any way.

These phones have some unique features and can compare against ANY device on the market. How can anyone say it is too expensive? Expensive compared to who and which features? Unique has its price, not only in the mobile phone market.

Most Yandex apps (disk, maps, transport, trains, metro, weather, parking, market etc) are much less functional or unusable at all on Windows Phone and no Yandex apps on WIndows 10 at all. There is an UWP alternative for Yandex.Trains, but less functional with no syncing, less information and boring colors. No offline 2GIS at all. No any nice smart dialer. Wizee hasn't been updated for years on WP and no W10 version at all. Kinopoisk is much less functional on Windows. No Google Apps (there might be some Youtube clients, but Gmail, Maps, Keep etc). No 4pda client, no Steam messenger, no OpenVPN client, no any nice free SSH clients, no Aliexpress client. VK is relatively good on WP, but it's not Universal app. VK app for Windows is very poor. And so it goes on and on and on. Almost nothing from popular services.

I chenged from Android to Windows several years ago. It was the best choice of my life. I was looking for a reliable and fast OS that will not need to be rebooted every second hour. I bought a L820 then. I recently changed it to L640, only because I wanted DS and bigger screen. My Lumia L820 is still fast. A friend of mine has a L930, he will not upgrade. These Lumia phones are duradable. I hope that the W10M phone will be too. Let's what MS will offer in midrange. 950 seems an attractive offer. I think the MS is still not an innovator in this area though it is gainning weight. But many times those fency innovations just turned to be a big ball of air because they are not working properly.

                                    In summary:
the new Lumia phones should be a very good option for those who are looking for a reliable (not perfect!!! -- there is no such) device and OS. If you are fed up with Android, again, this is your chance to make a smart move and change to Lumia.
