trancehell, 12 Feb 2010buddy, in the phone, the radio component that does the conn... moreyo tranchell.. i think you're missing the point here dude.. when i said the sim card is the connection between the phone and the network i don't meant it as a hardware but in terms of identification... i agree on the battery and and the serial connection, but if you think you're going to just put this in your phone and use it you're wrong...

When this is ready to be marketed(it has only just been conceptualized) the network operators will also provide a software interface as well as drivers for the same, hell the'll probably even install it for you when you pay up.. also you're kinda missing the point.. don't compare it to the wifi router you have installed at home.. this is positioned for kids, or people on the move, etc.. most of us won't even change over to it, second, its too early to comment on how they're going to have compatibility with all phones, it's only in it's hardware discovery stage right now. for all we know it may not get past the hardware stage... it's one of those firsts that companies do once in a while just to get ahead...

so stop trying to be a hero, you think you know it all... think about all aspects... you might just surprise yourself!!

I never thought a wifi radio could fit inside a sim card.

                              Oh well... technology. :)

don't get it. how can a new SIM use your existing data plan when you need your existing SIM for that? or is it one of those SIM's that you slip under your main one?

I think this SIMFI will give a lot of advantage to a regular mobile user! Not needing wifi phone to connect to the internet. Giving a new feature for a phone.
