AnonD-442781, 19 Oct 2015Yeah I know, I meant the general trend. This years best Sam... moreYou the Mid Range device to be comparable to the flagship devices?

AnonD-194597, 19 Oct 2015You mean to combat Snapdragon 820 not 620, right? No, the S820 will be built on 14nm/16nm (much better power efficiency) and will have a more powerful GPU. The S620 will be built on 28nm like these Exynos chipsets and will have a weaker GPU than the S820 (presumably comparable to the tri/quad-core Mali).

LLL, 19 Oct 2015No. The chips in the news are for next year, not this year.... moreYeah I know, I meant the general trend. This years best Samsung midrange isn't better than the galaxy s5 despite being more expensive, so next years mid-range probably isn't going to match up to the s6.

Makes you wonder why anyone bothers to buy them really.

AnonD-442781, 19 Oct 2015Are this years midrange ever better than last years flagship? No. The chips in the news are for next year, not this year. This year's midrange chips are not better than last year's flagship chips.

Choice of 28nm process is questionable IMO.

                  AnonD-387282, 19 Oct 201532 bit? lolNo, ARMv8 means 64-bit.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2015Lie !!! 7880 is basically Exynos 5430!!!A72 is very different from A15... it'd still be the "same old chip" only if they used A57 cores

We are still riding A57 cores for flagships at the moment, yet coming soon we will have A72 cores in midranges.

                            Wow.
