Nexus 6P fails the bend test, again

04 November, 2015
A couple of weeks ago, JerryRigEverything.com made a video where they put the new Nexus 6P through a series of tests, including scratch tests for the glass, a heat test for the display, and finally a bend test. The result of the final test was that the Nexus 6P bends like candy bars on a warm summer day.

Lol at the Fandroids trying to defend their bendable phone. When the iPhone 6 plus bend, they were bashing like crazy. Note their beloved nexus phone bends in half they're making excuses and denying the truth.

Jerry is a huge bodybuilder guy who could bend a solid bar of steel so, until someone else posts a bend test, I'm not convinced.

Why do people stick with aluminium alloys for phones again? Gram for gram, steel is way less prone to thermal and mechanical deformations (by a factor of almost 3 for the latter). It's somewhat cheaper (in most places).

For the amount of mony paid this shouldn't be allowed.
Indeed you don't buy an expensive phone to bend it but carrying it in tight pants can do the trick. I like metal clads but it's simply not right to sell crappy metal clads and certainly not for the asked money!

Now that they fixed it's OK, but it's like: frankly what did you expect from Huawei? Sadly they don't have the reputation to much, like someone else said, if it was Samsung the craze would go on just like with Apple, with fanboys madly saying "Of course if you do something stupid it breaks!" and the others bashing.

dukaki, 04 Nov 2015When the fruit company's product bends, the world goes hayw... moreJust like it is cool for fruit company fanboys to hate certain Korean company? Yeah! And that's expected from a cheap chinese OEM maker, so nobody cares. If this same thing had happened with certain Korean company's product, you'd have jumped around with extreme joy and abuses towards it. Some things are best left as they are.

I have both Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 and they are good phones. Already decide skipping this Nexus 6P, so no worry here.

even apple devices bent is in little pressure . cant survive crapy apple n samsung ... :p

When the fruit company's product bends, the world goes haywire with "bendgate". Everyone starts blaming them for bad engineering and how they couldn't notice the weak spots. Said company has to replace bent devices and change the materials used for the next gen.

When giggle's product bends people get mad at the person calling them out for making the video in the first place saying "if you try to break something it will break".

Just like with the iphone 6, it is the little effort needed to break it that is the problem. You pay a huge sum for these phones, they'd better make them equally or more durable than cheaper ones.

But it's cool to hate apple I guess?
