Nexus 6P fails the bend test, again

04 November, 2015
A couple of weeks ago, JerryRigEverything.com made a video where they put the new Nexus 6P through a series of tests, including scratch tests for the glass, a heat test for the display, and finally a bend test. The result of the final test was that the Nexus 6P bends like candy bars on a warm summer day.

AnonD-356282, 04 Nov 2015No it doesn't, it requires 100 pounds of force to bend prop... moreThose are both faulty comparisons. Both of those examples held on to the edge, so it didn't break. The nexus 6p took 90 pounds and could have went further, it would have beat 100 pounds.

If you look at the test of the 6s by the same guy, then you'd see the screen does pop out a little.

nexus, 04 Nov 2015Note 5 is not a phablet. compare the Dimension, is smalle... moreA phablet entirely relates to screen size and the current market standard is usually 5.5" (the people saying 4.8" and above are delusional considering the average phone boasts above 5" on screen real estate). The Note family is what defined the phablet. It is THE phablet.

Use your brain, I can see this breaking just from dropping it, you don't have to bend it to make it break.

Note 5 is not a phablet? Anything above 4.7 inch a phablet? Get real guys.. Everyone knows that all galaxy notes are phablet. And that would also mean a nexus 5 is a phablet lol. Anything above 5.2 inches could be considered a phablet-maybe but I think the minimum size for a phablet-maybe 5.5inches.

i agree. why would anyone want to bend his/her smartphone after having paid for it dearly? if it bends it doesn't mean it isn't sturdy. it just means it's made of aluminum or some soft alloy to make it lightweight. Do you ever go to a mobile store and ask if the phone you are considering is "bend-proof"? i think not!

No body in their right mind would stupidly bend their phones. I myself doesn't. I bet this guy owns bended handphone. Whoever works with him have to be extra careful when he is around as looks can be very deceiving, he may looks well but inside he is unwell. I know the car he driving has bended doors and even his tyre rim is now bended.

In other words, whatever he owns are now bended. ...... lol .......
