They were ahead of the competition in so many ways which were unheard of back in 2012-13. Their main problem had always been and still is poor marketing and device availability according to specific markets.

        That just goes to show that every phone has disadvantages, no matter what brand or OS. Keep your eye on the Windows phone though. There may be a big jump in their app store once windows mobile 10 updates are released for their phones. They've made is easier for developers to port their apps to the windows store.

                      Recently made the switch to the GS6 from iPhone 6+ from Lumia 1320.
                      Hate iOS for restrictions (deal breaker)
                      Love it's buttery smoothness; same for WP.
                      Hate Android for Lag.
                      Hate WP for lack of apps.

                        All MS needs to do is shrink the surface book( design and/or everything) into a phone( with 5.2 - 5.5 screen size) and have it run full Windows 10 whenever connect to a bigger screen via their surface deck. And there you have your surface phone. Oh, the OS on the phone will be still running on " star manu" style, and no desktop mode unless connect to other hardware into a bigger screen.
