I wish they switched to Bluetooth 4.0 already. It should be much more energy efficient.

AnonD-467404, 25 Nov 2015there are devices like this with 5mp camera. you can manual... moreTried. Those 5mp cameras are mostly horrible, pictures look like oversized (oversampled?) 2-3mp pictures. I know, I've been looking for such phones for 3 years straight now. I mostly find chinesse no-name models, but they're horrible, few of the last decent phones: Nokia 6720 classic (decent camera), Samsung Esomething (5mp candybar phone, 3+ years old model). Sadly, there isn't a decent replacement yet, and the Samsung is all-plastic, gets really worn out in a year - its screen cover plastic is almost non-transparent now because of constant use for 2 years (my father carries phone with keys, can't help it). And he needs a big screen due to poor eyesight (sees things far away, but can't see small letters on a phone). My mother has 6720 classic, although she doesn't use smartphone features (symbian) at all, Nokia 230 wouldn't be a bad choice. But she, too, wants to take a picture with a phone occasionally. So I'm looking for a fast device with big screen and numberic keyboard, somewhat decent camera. Can't find it, though.

                                  2. It's low-priced, so don't expect super cores and ludicrous RAM.
                                  3. Its target audience is one that doesn't give a care about what apps they have.
                                  4. The audience in (3) won't have a PC anywhere near your specs level.
                                  5. It clearly wasn't meant for you. Go buy a flagship - that should suit your needs.

They're happy they can even buy a phone like this. You can also happy by leaving them alone, and buying the phone YOU truly want.

                                        2. At least both Android and WP both have hotspot - that's all that matters now.
                                        3. Ads are revenue streams - OS makers need it, especially considering that most users don't want to pay a single for anything.
                                        4. It will survive because there is little money to be made from malware for WP anyway.
                                        5. There are a million or so apps in PlayStore, and very little quality control - a nice recipe for problems. But yes, the stock Google apps are fine.
                                        6. Those are the apps' problems. Not a lot of people make apps for Windows, and there is little incentive to update immediately.

Android received similar criticism when it was still new - look at where it is now. Windows will get there - it just needs some time and a lot of perseverance.
