rails, 23 Jan 2016You are wrong about it and It seems you've not read GSMAren... moreI've tested a lot of devices by myself in games and I can say that Mali almost every time wins. Also I didn't see any game in the review you wanted me to look through. Where is the proof that Adreno is more powerful?

Okay, I can say what's wrong with it. It is a huge compute powerful GPU (like AMD Radeon) with several bottlenecks that leads to worse performance than Mali or PowerVR (Nvidia) with less ALU compute cores.

AnonD-296885, 22 Jan 2016It doesn't. S6 has a bit better graphics. You are wrong about it and It seems you've not read GSMArena article between LG V10, Nexus 6P and Note 5. else you would not be saying this..

Try using a Nexus, HTC, or LG for a week or so and you'll soon realize how laggy touchwiz really is. It also might be that you're very fortunate. I've had a bad experience with every Samsung that i've owned.. couldn't get anything done on them. Only solid one was the S2 from T-Mobile.. And Maybe the Note 2 also. They work great for about 3 or 4 months then become sluggish.. only way to get them back to normal is to factory reset them which is a drag.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2016Check out sammobile.. These are bemchmarks at 1.6 Ghz.. I... moreI have used at least 6 Samsung devices till date. All flagships. They all used to lag becoz of crappy touch wiz. So I don't believe them anymore when it comes to software optimization. The last device I used from them was Galaxy S4. It lag like hell while switching between opened chrome tabs. Needless to mention that it runs on Android Lollipop. Just an immediate last Android iteration!

I just wonder how this will be doing in daily usage. I mean the score is high but does it eat much power and overheat in time of usage?. Scores doesn't say its the best in actual usage though.

It has nothing to do with android, the throttling was because sd810 was on the older process thereby running too hot whereas samsung used 14nm so the problem wasnt as bad. If you look at the anandtech mate8 review the new a72 + tsmc 16nm process means no more throttling issues. The kirin 950 can run 2 cores at max speed indefinitely, 3 cores at max speed for 15minutes before throttling occurs.

Such a silly review, it doesn't measure sustained performance. After 3 minutes of use SD810 throttles to oblivion, that's why on certain tests note 5 is "suddenly" so far ahead (they last more).

Also android without custom ROMs and/or xposed. It's like buying a windows PC and don't install an antivirus because it "doesn't" come with one and you want to "try it out of the box".

And android without root is actually a bad OS compared to iOS or windows. Its strength is that it's easily modifiable. Way to go by not using its prime strength.

I own a Moto G running Slimsaber 5.1.1 and it runs butter smooth with zero bugs or lag. It`s about the optimisation not the specs.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2016It's very special. 50-100% faster in sustained performance.... moreInused to flash Roms in my Motorola milestone at a time where you didn't even know what Android is. But its not all about flashing, after years of trying to make Android work as it should you are quite happy if you can just use your phone. Even my nexus is locked, unrooted and you know what? It just works.
The galaxy, for sure could run cm but will all its bugs, the camera is worse and even if you don't believe me, there won't be a subjective difference in performance. Actually if you read the xda threads, there are some little lagging issues with the s6, but you as a rom flashing expert know that for sure ;)
It's not vanilla Android that makes a phone smooth, there are really good running phones like the lg g4 with a skin on top. It's more the drivers, the optimization and most important no little programming faults that causes lags from time to time.
The story with the better gpu is again nothing I made up myself, just look at the gsmarena review section, the nexus 6p, note5 and lg v10 comparison. Click on performance and see what they figured out :D
But yes, of course the exynos is the better chio overall, its just not important at all if the phone works.
