The reason there was a marketing push for these is because manufacturers had cheap high density capacity and for smaller screens.
You need to move over 100" to be able to see UHD differences from a normal viewing distance.

4k looks good on the list of specification. But not inside the phone. 4k is 4times bigger than 1080p. Think Is that necessary? 1080p is good up to 50inch screen. Your phone is not 40inch, not 32 inch not 20 inch....it is only 5 inch. More pixel means more battery consumption. Actually 4k is a marketing trick....remember samsung's Galaxy S4's feature?? Air gesture, lots of useless gesture? Ppl went crazy for that features..... but after using for few weeks all of them turned it of including me. To me 1080p is best for mobile devices. 4k is good for TV, not for portable devices.

I was upset when Samsung withdrew the SD Card slot on the Note 5 and S6. I stuck with my Note 3 and eventually went with another phone, Nexus 6P 128 GB. I have come to embrace no SD Card. My phone seems to run much faster. After experiencing this, I actually might consider coming back to Samsung and purchase the S7 Edge.

I hate the Edge's screen. It does nothing but distort the edges of the screen and it's the dumbest gimmick I've had the misfortune to use. I returned the last one, now I will wait for the next Note I guess, or the next iPhone.

Any game taken from internal or external storage will load into RAM so fast RAM/GPU more important than sd card speeds. All these fast storage methods do is inflate benchmarks and have no real effect in real world usage. The biggest real time write data is 4K video recording and a Class 10 will handle that.
As to QHD screens 4k etc most stuff is actually outputted at 1080p max so when browsing web etc you are really only seeing 1080p or upscaled 720p, someone will know more than me but folk have to be aware of spec wars where a lot of stuff is untrue.

"warning external SD card might go slow down your device performace, are you sure to [bla bla...]" stuff like that. user must be aware of having an SD card affect the performance of their phones. I hope Sammy read my comment otherwise many of their fans or future gs7 users will (would) cry on internet. hahaha...

You are just viewing 4% resolution of a 4k video on a phone. take note of that

Can't wait to see how it will look in the configuration of the electronic parts used for S7. The phone will go into direct competition with mobile products Xiaomi, Huawei, LG,LeTv, Lenovo, etc.
I consulted the magic book, and what I saw there....can't say...but someone will cry..:)))))))
