Merwyn Fernandes, 25 May 2016http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/new-product/mobile-phone/sony-xp... moreGreat that you took the liberty to provide sources as I have already taken the liberty to laughing this argument off. Your first few words seemed to steer way off course our line of argument. Till then I rather be cautious and careful now before any piece of my sanity breaks loose; it is still tightly intact now. I am in no position to admit defeat in our debate. I just would not like to feel guilty of humiliating someone else, so next!

Okay my knowledge is above you and I didn't ask you request you for any sources it was '' sarcasm '' which a dummy like you can't understand I have seen your comments all over this site and how you bashed up by people for posting bullsh::t unlike you who copy from other sites and pastes here I go on my own knowledge on tech yes Indian and Chinese authorities don't matter as fcc is one of the best and most accurate when you consider leaked phones and yes I don't think you are from Android developer community as this phone was already there on Sony developers and github asas Sony c6 ultra before Sony decided to streamline everything in the x series because it would be cheaper for them to advertise on series rather than many
As you can see the phone was clearly the c6 ultra which was then launched as XA Ultra
You are just showing your foolishness here and debating on topics which shows how week your technical knowledge is there is a lot of underground development which goes on in the developer community b4 a phone is launched if you don't know

Merwyn Fernandes, 24 May 2016People like you have no other job than copying and pasting ... moreThe least I could do was to politely reply and what better way to do it than merely doing what you were hitting onto my noggin which was to research and you even said 'please' so I did to make the least bit sense onto your noggin. Before I get all formal on you and blast you with particular sources I've been getting my info from, might you with all your kindness provide me a link to the exact source you found confirming what you previously claimed: "since the XA Ultra was supposed to be the C6 Ultra."

Quote me the line from my earlier responses of which I claim "fcc certification and benchmarks are wrong." I merely quoted an article stating benchmarks "sometimes do get their size estimates wrong." I do not know if you've completely missed reading the term, 'sometimes', or you were not able to comprehend seemingly out of clouded judgment possibly caused by your outburst to lunge and defend.

As you say, "every phone needs to go through fcc certification." Yeah, keep telling yourself that. That the Federal Communications Commission is the only legal telecommunications regulatory body in the world. Leave some room for Chinese and Indian manufacturers with their respective Chinese and Indian products, will ya'. Tell me, where'd ya' get yo' info from?

Merwyn Fernandes, 23 May 2016It was not '' rumored to be'' it was supposed to be the c6 ... moreWhen MWC and pre-MWC with all those alleged upcoming Xperia successors came to light, I was already following both unofficial leaks and official statements regarding them. I did research and I repeatedly encountered 'believed', 'alleged', 'purported', 'rumored', 'unannounced', 'leaked', 'dubbed' or 'perhaps', which all points to uncertainty and unofficial statements. It was mainly the authors of these blogs or articles that leads any one uncautious reader to believe that it was 'supposed to be'. One article claims that there were rumors that Sony was to unveil a phone dubbed Xperia C6 Ultra last February's MWC, however, that did not happen with Sony announcing the Xperia X line instead. Another such article reiterated info from GFXBench that the Sony F3216 has a 4.6-inch 1080p touchscreen with 21MP/16MP combo on a P10 and so on. Then the author continued that aside from the tiny screen size, more of the other specs could easily be identified (he used the term 'peg') as the upcoming Xperia C6 but said to sport a 6-inch screen. Noting that "benchmarks sometimes do get their display size estimates wrong when early prototypes are involved, and GFXBench in particular has done this before - showing 4.6" for devices with larger panels." And the author continued exactly writing, "So the F3216 could turn out to be the C6, especially as the C5 Ultra had a big focus on its selfie camera too - a 13 MP unit with LED flash. The F3216 takes things further with a 16 MP sensor." That being said, it should have been a hint to any single reader that the author subtly assumes that the codename F3216 could be the C6 (not the Ultra version) sporting a 6-inch display, the successor to C5 Ultra (since the successor to C4 was not a non-Ultra versioned C5) which was also and already toting a 6-inch display. If all these rumors for upcoming models that are not of the X line have progressed and if Sony had not interrupted with their X series, continued allegations for a C6 'Ultra' would have been gunned by the rumor industry to sport a larger than 6 inches display.

Going back to the topic, I would have believed you if this codenamed F3311/Xperia E5 would be truly well absorbed/blended under the X series and was officially named either an X or XA mini, especially since Sony recently announced they were to focus on their brand new X family. But then again you mentioned, 'might', which relatively falls under uncertainty, indicates possibility or probability, or expresses expectation

Debb, 24 May 2016Can anyone say if 1.5 GB RAM would handle Android well?i think this is the spec
                    Android 6.0 Marshmallow running
720p HD 4.6″ screen (looks like a compact version of bigger series)
                    MediaTek MT6735 quad core CPU @1.3GHz SoC (Cortex A53 – ARMv8)
                    ARM Mali-T720 GPU
2 GB RAM, 16 GB Internal Storage
                    13 MP Rear Cam
                    5 MP Front Cam
                    Single SIM model

AnonD-56158, 23 May 2016It's going to be over priced again coz it's a Sony!At least overpricing is worth it. I doubt that the S7 Edge won't even last up to 10 years or so. The Xperia Z5 can probably last even 20 years of usage. Don't believe me? Try it yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about

Debb, 24 May 2016Can anyone say if 1.5 GB RAM would handle Android well?RAM isn't everything. If a phone can handle Lollipop with just 1GB of RAM, of course higher specs phone can handle them as well. Handling of the OS lies beneath the processor and GPU it uses

If sony didn't screw up with the batteries and pricing with this one and makes it looks good, it will be a good contender for Samsung J series.
