I have been WM user for a while now, from the primitive PDAs to the latest smart phones. I have persisted with the sluggish unstable OS and its about time MS did something about it. My latest phone is the HTC HD. Compared to other older devices, I found the HTC HD a breath of fresh air. However, it has its issues. Typical MS product, as you use it, things get slower and slower. I have installed a few third party software to help it run smoothly, without this, the phone would be useless. What the problem is, MS products just need too much maintenance. You have to constantly reset the device, hard reset when things become very sluggish and slow. I think that’s what my device needs at the moment – a hard reset! The HTC HD was a good phone, however after having the phone just over a year things started to get slow and unstable, what is going on? I don’t have the time for this maintenance business, all I want to do is use the device, after all I paid big money for the phone. I have problems with notifications (always has been an issue with MS products!), freezes when inputting text, freezes in the calculator program. The other thing I found was you can’t lock up the screen when you have the password screen activated, so if you have the device in your pocket and a notification comes up, the notification will be minimise when touching the screen, as there is no lock, of course you can probably buy third party software to resolve the problem. Anyway, speaking to a few people that have the Iphone 4, they reckon its is all smooth sailing, no maintenance required, just use it. No sluggish unstable performance, it never happens. No reset or hard reset required. Now, that’s what I like. The time has come for a change! Unless MS can prove otherwise.

It can't have a memory card slot. Windows Phone 7 does NOT support external memory cards.

Laaaate to the party again Microsoft... when they are fixing their own "phone software" mistake, the trend is going for JA! fast and light mobile gadgets (ipad, tablets, etc) as an alternative for the sooo resource hungry Windows 7 which cripples any hardware. They are falling in their own pit holes. The solution and concept was right with Windows Mobile... soo bad they just dont listen to their customers, instead they are hearing the money... (marching awayyyyy!)

What if HTC is releasing the HD3 (with less specs) for TMobile to replace the HD2 (and for WP7 launch), and will release the HD7 for the masses (International) with far better specs, at a later time (early 2011)???? I just cannot believe after almost a year HTC only came up with the less spec HD3??????????

Ok, so most current high-end phones have similar specs: 3.3" to 4.3" WQVGA touchscreens, either Hummingbird or Snapdragon 1GHz CPUs, 5MP to 8MP cameras with flash, 720p video recording and 2 to 32GB of internal memory... Nothing new! Question is, regardless of the brand, does Microsoft really think people will choose WP7 over Android, Symbian, iOS or even Bada??? I don't think so!!!!
