Samsung Galaxy Note7 stars in 11 minute long video

28 July, 2016
It's an SK Telecom prototype, but it reveals salient info - chipset, iris scanner and, of course, it shows the S Pen.

Actually they are the one who make it a big issue when in fact it is not.
It is the same stupidity as plugging a 110v equipment to a 220v power outlet, but nobody called the 110v equipment a design flaw.

So happy it doesn't have the useless edge screen like that of the S7 Edge.
The glass back like the Note 5 and the same good old S-pen same as the Note 5's.
This is really the successor of the best Note ever, Note 5.

Seems like AOD now shows more notifications than just calls and sms.

Dual heatpipes, 29 Jul 2016According your link: http://flic.kr/p/wiuRKs It is hard... moreIn fact, I do have a Note 8 which I won with an drawing entry I did with a Note 2. Hehe. Here's a snippet of that drawing entry with Sketchbook app: http://flic.kr/p/e2iVch
There's a good level of detail I could do with just a 5.5" of the Note 2.
Arya Stark with Photoshop Touch: http://flic.kr/p/e35qpJ

Of course the bigger the screen the better. Of course I paint with real paint and surfaces. However, we are talking about the phone-Note's being compact and pocketable, that it is easy to carry around, and am able to sketch ideas for architecture, or demonstrate what I mean through sketching. I don't carry around my Note 8 I can't put it in my pocket, and the battery use is not that much.

I sketched that idea while in a cafe, for example. Anywhere, anytime.
S Pen great also for writing my notes. I even done sketching demos while screen mirroring it onto a projector for drawing workshops. It's useless for you, it isn't for professionals like me. You don't need it, don't go complaining it's useless - you have choices of other devices.

AnonD-367917, 29 Jul 2016Screen sizes on a lot of phones having climbed into 'Note' ... moreYour reason is fairly good, but not everyone need the S-Pen, just like the iris scanner feature, we are push to use it.

It is hard to drawing on a tiny screen just only 5.5 to 6 inch, it is a hard job for you. I think those ppl who like drawing will choose a bigger screen such as 8 inch or more and the result and performance must be better than using a small screen. Am I right?
Even my friend use a 8inch tab and seldom drawing, he love drawing using the real not on small device.

AnonD-316697, 28 Jul 2016may be its just for fun, u can change itif i can make it "thug life" glasses, i will definitely buy note 7 :D

sa11oum, 28 Jul 2016The Note series used to improve the hardware of the Galaxy ... morewhat rock do people crawl out of that say that. the only time there was a true difference was note 4 and s5. note 1 and s2 basically the same same chip same ram same camera same everything , one was just over clocked . same goes with the note2 and s3, note 2 was overclocked same chip again. more ram this time at least. but same camera same yada yada. s4 note 3 same as above. the true variants are the s5 and note 4 where they are virtually night and day with eachother. then they went back to the roots with s6 and note 5. even this sight if you look at the comparisons say 2 phones cut from the same cloth. the note is a phablet with the s pen being what made it special. now there is just less difference then before because the s series has a phablet also now. i guess most people didnt own notes til the note 4 and thats why they think there suppose to be so different.

I prefer the non-edge Note 7... wish Samsung will manufacture 2 variants.... or else, I skip Note 7 this time. My Note 4 still running perfectly...

Dual heatpipes, 29 Jul 2016I don't use pen on a small screen even it is 5 to 6 inch bi... moreScreen sizes on a lot of phones having climbed into 'Note' territory, usually with extra features (like water proofing etc), and battery sizes climbing (at least by the spec sheet/not all battery cells being created equal); the main reason to choose the Note line is the S-pen, unless I am missing something (?)

Do other phones do the same sort of multi window functions...
I do not use multiwindow often (less than a handful of times), but the S-pen gets used nearly daily... (for me).

Every time I am in a cafe or out and about, or working on a customers PC, and I need to jot down a quick note.. I always reach for pen and paper, and if I cannot instantly find one or the other, I just pick up my phone and pull out the pen...

Sometimes we do not use a feature as we haven't considered the applications for it, and so we 'forget' it is there...

The amount of times I was wasting 30 seconds trying to get something to jot down a quick note, realising that the time spent was more than the benefit to be gained, I rethought the process.. .whilst I do not think the S-Pen is as good as true paper and pencil (mostly due to screen size), it is an excellent feature, and a large part of why I didn't retire my Samsung Note when I got an iPad with Pencil.
30 seconds may not sound like much time, but when you charge several dollars a minute for your time, you want to deliver the best service to clients that is possible.
Working retail years ago, I asked the boss for a raise of twenty cents an hour, qualifying I would carry a notepad and pencil on me to increase my performance...

And for all the times I am out and about and my ten year old can do some art in Artrage (made by the people who made Kais Power Goo back in the windows 95 days), a free app that came with Samsungs phablet, it has concreted in my mind why I would not go without.

Drawing straight onto the screen means that the children prefer it over the Wacoms I have bought them in the house.
My ten year old now has a Galaxy Note (2), with only a data sim in it.

I bought Artrage for ipad; she doesn't care which platform she uses it on... but without a stylus, it would be much less practical.

My daughter has learned a lot about differing paints and how to apply them from just this one application.
Her art is phenominal for such a young person; and every free moment of the day she is with pencil and paper in hand drawing/sketching.
This was inspired by the free software on dads' phone.

                                S-pen is very useful.

You're better off with the S lineup if you don't need the S Pen. I take notes for meetings or working out things.

SaltandPepper, 28 Jul 2016S Pen is more useful than gimmicky remote play for me (IMO)I don't use pen on a small screen even it is 5 to 6 inch big. We can manage the phone as simple as we can why need to rely on a pen, I really don't know.
