AnonD-428442, 14 Aug 2016Do I want it? For free, sure why not. But for close to $100... moreYou are right there. I might as well buy an iphone, if they put a premium price tag in their phones... I heard and read (in some forum) (don't ask for evidence, you search) that Samsung doesn't even honor waterproof and breakage warranty, so why buy their premium-priced phones at all? But, I will never buy any chinese phones. Alot are cheap copies (as always) , for some branded chinese phones - after sales is very very poor. Plus, there might be some spyware sht installed in there somewhere... Lol! (possible right? because chinese are greedy that they want everything)

Why suffer and try to make do with what you have, when you can easily switch to something that'll ease all your mental pressures?

AnonD-421850, 14 Aug 2016Since Samsung has started using glass on the rear of the ph... moreYou can't be so pissed about it brother. Everyone wants their phone looks awesome plus functionality for sure. But tell me honestly....! Is that much of an issue? The edge screen in note 7 is much lesser than in note4 edge. The people who bought s6 edge don't seems to complaint about the edge screen much. And it looks super awesome. Watching videos in edge phones is not that much of a problem too... Plus samsung has a patent to bring some camera functions to edge screen so they definitely not gonna stop edge phones. I have read an article about that in this site. It's all for good my friends ... Let's wait for it......

AnonD-190634, 15 Aug 2016I agree! Movies and some stuff look weird on iti have an s7 edge...although i bought it instead of the flat one only because of the larger screen size(got used to the 5.5inch form factor)...i thought the edge display would distract me..but its an awesome feeling to watch movies on...movies are 21:9..not the 16:9 ratio..so they look awesome..as for photos, there is very minimal color distortion whatsoever, rather the edges of the pics look squeezed...i don't see a problem unless you like taking photos with people's faces on the edge of the pic.

Many people want to paste the screen protector---it's easier when flat...then again if not how about the resell value when your screen has been found scratch?~

If the flat one can save us 100$, then bring on the phlablet! (Horrible pun, sorry)
But otherwise the 6 GB variant seems interesting...

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2016flat one because curved one degrades Picture in curves...pe... morewow first one to make sense in all these replies , i dnt understand why its not an option for the vote , or why no one ever mention that in reviews "quote""The curve on the side is fairly minor, and the left and right edges of the screen remain mostly usable. The bezels are about 2mm thinner than we left them on the S6 edge, which is nice." < this quote is from gsmarina S7 edge review its like they just praise the edges , what !!!! remain mostly usable :v why would people sacrifice their screen usability when they pay the most expensive prices , + do u really want to trade ur screen beeing unusable around edges for auseless function they could even add without the curved edge !!!!!!!!!

                    I care for 6 gigs

AnonD-294, 14 Aug 2016SAMSUNG ! If you listening to me , I'm flying on business t... moreI think that would be a big mistake , for several reasons. First off , the entire interface might be in Chinese . Even if you could change the language ( not too sure about it) , don't expect OTA updates in your home country ( probably manual flash would be your only option ) . Battery life would be poor in your home country because the phone was optimized to work on Chinese networks. Google Play services are not supported in China so you will have only Chinese apps out of box. Warranty will be another problem when you actually come out of China unless you are staying there for over an year.

Since the hardware is different from the Note 7's of the world(6 GB RAM as compared to 4 GB), global ROM's will be minimal , if any at all. Therefore , in my humble opinion , it would be a lot better if you buy the device in your home country.

The two suggested reasons are ridiculous and won't fit most people's reasons.. Personally I don't like having a high profile phone that shines to the sides, and that's why I'll never buy an edge phone. Now I'm rocking the regular S6 that was same price where I live as the edge variant. The reduced ergonomics would be the far second reason.

Since Samsung has started using glass on the rear of the phone it is giving more emphasis on the looks of the phone rather than its durability, and why will they make phone durable when firstly it is what people want (form over function) and secondly the same people keep changing their phones repeadly whenever a new version comes out so Samsung will obviously heed their wishes.

The dual curved display is again incorporates the same strategy to make the phone look good,(looks looks looks) that's ia what people care about most these days. For over function. Just because Samsung can make a curved display doesn't justify its use on the phone, when the curve doesn't increase any usability or ease of use, its just so because it looks good and premium.

Flat Screen because it's what I'm used to and it's easier to protect! But considering everyone's lead time this year it should've came with Nougat
