Does this mean you will buy Huawei now? Selling numbers dont matter. Only thing which matters is what value are you getting against the heavy cash you paid and Sony gives you that, it wont die on you easily be it Xperia, Bravia, Alpha or any other product line.
P.S. i dont wanna draw a circle to open a camera, maybe my circle becomes a little too out and it refuses to open the camera, instead i long press my camera button to open my camera with 0.03 second to autofocus and actually snap a picture. Thats practicality im talking about not gimmicks, so avoid giving me that.

I still remember when i often saw Sony TVC, and they has biggest store in my city. They still didnt sell well. High cost for marketing, poor sales. Bezelia phones only attracts young male that love gaming, those who used to play PS.
Oppo has good marketing and attractive product, I still remember when i visited tech mall 3 years ago, its all blue with Samsung banner and booth, then Oppo came, nobody knew Oppo, Oppo greenize the tech mall, green everywhere. they have good marketing. They also have attractive products.
When people comes to Slowny booth, with close to stock ui,there is almost nothing salesman could show. In Oppo booth, the salesman is very glad to show the cool features.
When screen is off its only need to draw O to open camera, M to open music, people got amazed, woman is easily attracted. And now you know Oppo is now in big 5 world Smartphone vendors.

The XP has plastic frame, and the plastic buttons fe... moreIts not your typical plastic but a better polycarbonate used for radio transmission purposes as the back is sealed with brushed metal body. And the buttons, you want your buttons metallic? well buttons are better off as plastics for long term and ease of use. Even my Z5, having the aluminium frame with rubbered corners has plastic volume rocker and the camera button.
Now you would cry over rubbered corners so let me tell you that its a very good decision to choose the corners to be rubbered as most of the hits are taken by corners and as the Z5's corners are rubbered, the phone really dont get much affected when take hits or fall down.

See what Sony give... moreIt cant sell because of its poor marketing strategies not because they ain't good enough. Another factor is the people like you who go with the crowd and become isheep or sammy fanboy. You people don't even know that there are other eligible OEMs who can deliver better performances with their flagships (Motorola, htc, LG & Sony). The few chunk of people who actually buy Xperias are the most satisfied ones if we talk in android OEM users (Nexus excluded).
And for the design, you cannot make a design more perfect as it is. Ever heard of this, "If it aint broken, dont fix it!".
The Z5 is as hard and tough as a brick. Its aluminium sides and rubber corners are something i have never seen before. With everyday usage, it gets rubbed with hard metal things, walls, etc. and it takes them really well. After all that rubbing and scratching, i do not see even a little scratch on the sides, its that durable, you see. Stop trolling and try to actually hold and use a Z5 first.

See what Sony give on X series. Over price with middle range spec. Design same with it omnibalance language since Z until Z5 which is 5 generation.
X basically still same but at least remove glass to metal but nonsense price in middle range spec.
If Sony so well known in this, Sony won't be that extreme poor selling. If it is that great, why it can't sell? Simply because it is not most consumer prefer.

Probably you feel it is quality plastic.
Samsung now S series, Note Series and A series, all premium without plastic.

In fact the newer phone are an improve version both the screen size and features while maintaining the same physical size.
NOTE: the spec for XpXC is not confirmed so don't take this as final.

Sony should give price near Z1C / Z3C. Sony Z5c price was joke, price like top phone but spec was cut, many problems. And maybe they improve camera...

For all those that say that bezels are fine.
I was an owner of Z1c and I absolutely loved it, but that was almost 3 years ago. Now it's the end of 2016 and I do not want a 4.6" display in a 5"+ chassis.
But OK, let's accept the huge bezels. Why on earth do they have to add those soft buttons on screen and lose even more screen size? Why on earth don't they use the huge bezels for the soft buttons?

It was 2013 when you started to see 'premium' android devices with glass & aluminium (Z/Z1/ZC), that year, Samsung was playing with its plastic toys (S3/Note 3). In 2014, Sony again came up with these materials for their phones but refined design a little bit (Z2-best design so far, Z3-refined version of Z2), still Samsung was playing with its band-aid design (S5). In 2015, Sony dint change much in their design except used frosted glass back for the Z5 series as the previous Z series phones tend to be slippery and fingerprint magnets so they ditched that glass back and used frosted glass instead which is not slippery and doesn't catch fingerprints, guess what Samsung did in 2015, they actually adopted the design Sony ditched and is outdated for us Sony users lmao. And you came here talking about who is the King? Its true that Sony does not sell much but Sony sure knows how to go for a phone which is way more practical than the gimmicky Samsungs. Also, did i mention the Apteligent report here, which says Sony are the most stable phones around? while Samsung sucks at number 4.
