It is funny how people complain that 2700 mah for a 4.6 inch is too low , but lg g5 with 5.3 has 2800 mah , g4 5.5 inch 3000mah. And Lg will never be so energy efficient as Sony.

Both devices look promising, but unfortunately Sony is very predictable. I'm sure compact will be too thick. They might omit water proofing. Camera as usual will be promising but... just promising. Battery life is not any better if not worse than previous generation models. An so on. So consumers will find out that Sony has fixed a few things but, as usual spoiled others. Unfortunately as I said- Sony is very predictable.

Sony seems to be stubborn. Any phone with less than 3000 mAh capacity battery doesnt deserve any attention especially if targetted at emerging markets where electricity is available 24/7

If they can correct their past mistakes with better battery life AND competitive pricing, I'm sure they'll gain back more popularity they once had.

I don't think so, as i said the x compact is xperia x in specifications but compacted, and xr maybe xp in specifications but different in shape, 3 GB of ram is already sufficient for sony, there is no need for 4 GB of ram.

Great move by Sony with both the devices, there are some people who were looking for compact devices these days and Sony made those wishes come true with a great device and I hope if the price is affordable for compact then I might as well buy the device in the future.
In terms of price, I hope Sony can make it affordable with the specs of those devices so that they can compete in the market.

It can actually compete with other devices having 4GB RAM. There were many people complaining to increase RAM, and if the specs are true then their wish is fulfilled.
