There are just too many good high specced phones for under $400. If these devices are priced too high..sales numbers will suffer.
I also hope HTC keeps bezels to a minimum and battery capacity for the Marlin is up about 4000mAh.
I haven't made a move on a new phone cuz I am eager to see the New Nexus devices, LG V20 and a few others.

AnonD-287672, 30 Aug 2016This ! This is exactly what I wanted to sayits not Google's fault.. The HARDWARE partner has 75% rights to decide the Price of the phone ....
And obviously this would happen if the beautiful Nexus line is given to HTC a no where in the market company ....
And yes if you ask why HTC ... Samsung wouldnt take Nexus anymore cause they have their own lines of designs and they would modify the Nexus too much as per their needs
Huawei venture wasnt that great ... Sony - Naaah .... So the only in my opinion and good manufacturer of NEXUS is LG ... they should have continued with them.... or they could try something new
    OnePlus Nexus :D

AnonD-563598, 30 Aug 20165.5 inch screen for bigger nexus? Nexus 6 os 5.9 and 6p is... moreThey are going in wrong direction with the screen sizes, that's sad. No way I will downgrade to 5.5" when 6" feels too damn small already. :)

I start hating HTC's desing -_- ! they should make a unique one for the NEXUS.

I'm in Europe and if this comes at 450 euro or 499 euro for only 32GB i'm out to buy Oneplus 3 for 399 euro and 64GB. Been waiting for the Nexus in the last 3 months but at 450-500 this is a disappointment lol

AnonD-257034, 30 Aug 2016450$ for the Sailfish seems pretty reasonable to be honest. That 450$ is 450€ for European markets, and it's too much for 32GB base model. For a 64+ GB model, maybe... but for 32GB model? Pack whatever you want in it, I'm not giving nearly 500€ for a device with only 32GB of memory, and no SD support.

It's simply overpriced, just because it's HTC. They are doing that with their devices (HTC Desire 825 is selling for 300+ €, and it's total crap with 4y old hardware), they are doing that now with Nexus, they were doing that with HTC 10 (nearly 900€ in some markets!)...
