Anonymous, 04 Sep 2016They will be known more for all the wrong reasons...... ... moreIt is a GOOD thing that Sammy is owning the issue which they historically do not have a record of and is certainly preferable to other companies particularly one named after a fruit who would have said customers are charging it wrong. Calling Samsung tomorrow following the text message from Carphone to initiate my exchange. This is a stellar phone and that is not praise I dish out to mobile phones lightly. For pure Android experience glad to still have my Nexus 6P.....Well done Samsung you gained my respect.

Hi. This is currently the best phone in the world. I bought the Note 7 a week ago and I simply love it and would buy it again. I have charged it several times and so far no problem. I intend to keep it as it was only a very very minimal number of devices affected compared to the already big number of units sold. I think that Samsung did the right thing offering an exchange. These things can happen! Technic is not perfect. Even car manufacturers these days do recall their cars because of faulty parts. This can happen to any manufacturer.

Your comments make no sense and you just sound like you are complaining about not being able to take the battery out. Bet you complained about Samsung flagships being made of plastic, then when they change it you complain about not being able to take the back off.

The problem started last year when Samsung decided to listen to the fashionista segment who whined about Samsung's DESIGN and BUILD QUALITY for years in 2013-2014. Majority of strangers don't notice or even care what phone another person is holding. I certainly don't.

I really hope Samsung learns from this and brings back removable battery to the Note line. The J series have it. Why can't the Note? They could have easily avoided losing more money had it just been a battery recall and not trying to replace the entire device. I could live with faux leather back or matte plastic as long as they are replaceable.

Note series was supposed to be a PRODUCTIVITY device. Not some "planned obsolescence fashion accessory" that Apple users treat their iPhone as before getting disposed in two years. This glass rear stuff, non-removable battery, and no sd slot is complete nonsense that Apple tried to go backwards with the industry.

But by Samsung going style over substance, fashion over function last year, this is what happens. Explosion inside the phones and Samsung's wallets. The phone fashionistas don't know jack about tech. As long as it is pretty design and in a pretty color, they will buy it. The practical users are more forward thinking with the features and usage.

Go back to being practical again, Samsung. I hope LG and Nokia troll Samsung for this since they still maintained their practicality and common sense. Removable battery, please? I don't want to base my usage by the lifespan of a sealed battery. And if the rear breaks, I can replace it too. Samsung lost their practical edge by giving an edge to fashion...

Samsung the best brand you can trust that guarantee you a warranty for faulty devices and giving splendid offers to customers. Look at other brand. They yell at you that your warranty card has expired while it is not and tell you the card is not applicable at their store. Look at Samsung, gives you great services. Exchange phone for you for free. Gives money refund accordingly by the phone price differences. Give you gift cards too. What more can you get from the richest tech company aka Samsung? You get free Spen exchange too from the Spen problem back then. That is why I will always love Samsung. I'm not only paying for their devices, I'm paying for their perfect customer services.

What do you work? I am just curious. Why would a huawei/xiaomi phone with equal specs and features but sub 200$ not do? Because business emails or Microsoft office apps/cloud data can be accessed by even a 100$ phone. The point of this comment is that I sincerely want to know how people who buy super expensive phones make actual use of their phone besides the good camera you get.
