They should just stop with these constant new naming iterations and use the model car manufacturers use (i.e. a ford mustang will always be a ford mustang), granted they do have different names for special editions or different sizes added on but, they're not huge changes...

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2016It's not like Samsung are famous for their good quality bat... moreOthers do explode. Its just that Samsung and Apple command most of the market so obviously you're unlikely to hear about anything else. Everyone gets their batteries from similar sources and I've yet to see any evidence that one is actually better than another.

4 is considered bad luck? Wtf???

They will released an update to cap the phone battery at 60% so it will never exceed that percentage or overcharged and explode. This update is for those that too stubborn or lazy to get their free replacement by 30th Sept.. Btw, they had deactivate all Note7 smartphone remotely. So, no more issue there. What else can they do? No use crying over spilled milk. Time to move on. Samsung accepted the fact that note7 willl forever be labeled as their most pathetic failure.

Plus, i've never heared about third party battery exploding. In fact i've only heared about Samsungs and iphones exploding.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2016its should be removable battery phone in the first place...... moreSigh.... even if Samsung made removable battery.. if it have the same problem.. your phone still get burned, and they will still recall it right??? Even worse, you get new third party battery, which happens to come from the same exploding place, you get burn YET again.

REMOVABLE Battery crap will NOT FIX ANYTHING. in fact it will make it look bad. Move forward friend!

funny how apple is forcing samsung to make moves. The note 7 was a response to the release of the phone 7. IT HAS TO BE 1 MONTH BEFORE Iphone 7, no matter what. Samsung rushed it, and now is dealing with explode gate. because of this fiasco, S8 is now going to be released early, understand, early is probably Feb and Jan, worst time to release a phone, since that is the slowest time in consumer sales. Samsung is just a failure of epic proportion.

Yeah keep rushing your trash to the market, that's worked out so well so far.

How can anyone seriously think Samsung is going to fail or collapse because of this one little overblown mishap? You're either heavily biased or just a hater of the company lol and the explosion jokes are corny AF since only a few units were affected, at least be original and funny B.O.N.Y. and Crapple fans.

                                      My wishlist for the S8
                                      - 4K screen for immersive VR experience
                                      - of course with GPU that can handle 4K very well
                                      - 6GB RAM with great optimization
                                      - Dual Cam
                                      - Color spectrum sensor
                                      - All New Design that suitable for dual cameras
                                      - use your own camera sensor like S5
                                      - advertising the gimmicky Hi-Res audio sticker, Great DAC so audiophiles don't underestimate the audio quality
                                      - Dual stereo speakers that won't ditching 3.5mm audio jack

Anyway, I will wait for the Note8.
