Did this happen to you? Or does this happen only in Italian Apple Stores?
What should I do to get the new iPhone 4 I have paid for?

I recently have been having issues with people hearing me when i call them or i receive their calls. My sound works perfectly through Facetime and thru mic apps. What gives? Do I need to return my iphone to have this fixed? Resetting has not fixed the problem. =(

You are probably pressing mute button and dont know it, look at Proximity sensor problem posts.

Do you solve your problem? I have the same issue. During call people are not ale to hear me any more. Is is happening excidently and there is no rule for it. It is not conected with proximity sensor.

I just got my iPhone 4 yesterday and my first call two calls to my wife she said I was whispering and couldn't make out anything I was saying. Ended up having to text her.

I am having the same issue, iPhone 4. When I received a call the caller says they can't hear me. I am not using a case and the plastic is off. It works fine when I am on a speaker phone call or, bluetooth, or headset. Must be an issue with the mic or the noise cancelation.

I am having this same problem! Brought it to the apple store - genius had me do a full restore (and then from my backup). It worked for about 24 hours, and then mid call yesterday afternoon, it started again - nobody can hear me!
Please help!

I'm having the SAME issue...did a full restore as well...still same thing. I'm NOT pushing mute, or anything. Literally the other person says they hear really bad static, then they cannot hear my voice at all.
I call back and they can't hear me. Have tried switching to Edge, and does the same thing. Restarted phone. Same thing.
AT&T reprovisioned (reset network) my account and still does the same thing. No one else I know is having this issue.

I having the same issue too. It is also affecting iTunes, Pandora, and similar apps. In order to hear calls I have to put the phone on speaker or use the headphones. Not sure what this problem is, but it's a problem. Just started today for me.

Yeah it seems really random. Just started doing this recently. I can record with apps, etc. So that's why it seems so strange.

yeah, i updated mine like last week, im with Roger... moreyeah I agree... a whole more snappier to the touch and the web-browser
is now perfect. As I said before, pinch zooming/multi-touch would be a bonus for me but its not a necessity coz the double tap and zoom tabs work perfectly fine anyways.
If theres one quibble i have since the upgrade is that the default keyboard has lost all its creativity in the predictive texting department, I miss all those ingenious suggestions it used to throw out on 1.6 ah well, cant have it all I guess but nothing an app cant fix... got any good keyboard app suggestions?!
oh by the way, Im in South Africa on Vodacom - upgrade only released
here on tuesday but well worth the wait! :-)

1. If you have the phone and are complaining about it, please think about this the next time you decide to buy a new phone: Do some research!!! Compare products... that way you'll know the product's strengths and weaknesses before buying the damned thing and you won't get any nasty surprises!
2. If you don't have the phone: what are you doing here bitching about a phone you know nothing about??

yeah, i updated mine like last week, im with Rogers Canada. & yeah the unit is much more stable & smoother now. loving the hd video, live wallpapers, new keyboard layout, better sensitivity & all! :D
pinch to zoom ain't really needed by me but i don't mind having it. but hey, at least we own the phone & still happy with what it is & not whine like someone else here ;) lol :P

Ok on a more serious note though... tell me, apart from multi-touch (which is coming) and perhaps 16m colours (which is really hard to tell apart from 65k), what are you reeeeally lacking in the X10 after the update to 2.1?! What makes it soooo bad?!
Most of the hot chics I know dont even know what Android is let alone what the differences between Eclair and Froyo are.
The way i see it... all you want is a phone to show off and brag about.
You've got a great phone dude, dont let what other people have make you envious because if thats the case you might aswell change your phone every 3months because no phone will stay current for too long in this market... its moving at lightening speed!
