Samsung is by far the most innovative smartphone company in the world. Exnos CPU, first company with 10Nm tech, Super Amoled Screens and soon Quantum Dot Screen tech, own LTE modem, own SOC's, own camera lenses, new battery tech based on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell' technology. Maybe in the S8. One week on one charge, far less heat production and more durable than the current lithium-ion batteries, S-Pen, retina scanner and on and on.

And what brings Apple? Uhm.... uhm..... gadgets like force touch and that's it.

                    Anonymous, 17 Oct 2016Lol! That's a good joke Yea it's a joke,which many of makers try to copy,including Pixel.

It is because of that joke that OPPO, meizu,Nubia have their company operational and earn profits.

                    It's a joke.

The real thing is the one coming in second half, that's properly engineered for performance not just efficiency, production process makes a huge difference as in the tsmc 16/sammy 14 dilemma on older iPhone, gpu as well is even more important, having a 10 nm gpu is much better than this cpu coupled with 14 nm gpu's, and what's really gonna make a difference next year is the lpddr4x ram those are much faster and half power hungry so talking about 8 gb of ram is a joke really 6 should be very capable of 4k flagships next year

aatif khan, 17 Oct 2016Just an update for those who don't know: - Samsung manufac... moreMobile Devices division is the biggest division for Samsung Electronics (more than 50% of the profit is from mobile division)

The battery manufacturing is a separate company called Samsung SDI ,Samsung group contain 78 companies ,but Samsung Electronics bring more than 70% of the profit and revenues

because of that the Note 7 issue is a huge deal ,it'll make Samsung Electronics lose money for few quarters until they recover (and maybe they will not if the S8 failed)

MrIDC, 17 Oct 2016Only 27 percent? We expect 80% increase performance. Its ... moreApple's performance is due to optimised software and equally optimised hardware.
It can never be compared with other systems.

So well done and keep it up to Samsung

AnonD-442781, 17 Oct 2016Then don't use a smartphone then. They've made many iPhone ... moreI'm aware of those facts and that makes things even worse. What I'm hoping is that the Note7 had these problems because of a design flaw and not specific parts of the device. Technology is king but our safety should be more important.
