I tried to see movies via Gear VR and I was seeing pixels everywhere because the 1440p screen of Galaxy S7 is not enough for VR.
4K and Amoled is bare minimum for VR, no image retention, no screendoor effect, no giant pixels.... make it happen!

SuperAMOLED is a patented Samsung product that incorporates the digitizer and the AMOLED panel into a single bound substrate.
My OnePlus 3 has an "OpticAMOLED" display . . . . which is actually a SuperAMOLED panel, built by and licenced from Samsung, then rebranded (in name only) by OnePlus.
"OpticAMOLED" would be a "marketing term".
"SuperAMOLED" is a display and touch interface technology that combines the two into a single component.

A phone is a phone. Screen might may what it does look prettier but should that be the be all & end all?
Choose your phone based on what your preferences are, not be case some FanBoy says your wrong!
