I have seen tablets that are cheaper with better specs 3 years ago. Gods, and then they wonder why android tablets die off.

Too heavy. Sony manages to make 10.1" tables that are about 400 g.
I also find 4:3 aspect more convenient (a happy owner of Nexus 9).
