They bled the company dry, they were only interested in Moto's patents and sold an empty box to Lenovo.
As some other poster wrote. Motorola was only popular in the US not in Europe. Only a handful of models were sold in Europe. Someone else wrote that Lenovo had way too many models. That indeed isn't good especially if the models differ not enough. It seems that lenovo had no vision or strategy with Moto.

Powerbanks recharge the INTERNAL battery. So when that breaks (and eventually it WILL break after about 2/3 years) powerbanks are useless.
We need user replaceable batteries.

If Apple will be bought tommorrow by Foxconn and will be no longer designed and engineered by apple, nobody will want a full chinese iphone: made by chinese, designed by foxconn. Now motorola is full chinese and moreover, lenovo is crap. Motorola is crap. Motorola must die. Even in their glory days, their mobiles were big, ugly, infernal menu, bad plastic,very bad service, very bad reselling value. They were crap even in 1997-2000. I had two motorola kramer and another three models. Just crap.

well, i love lenovo. i have a laptop thinkpad X230 and it is a perfect piece of hardware but your cellphones...
i was a moto g1 user and loved the phone. just updated to the moto g3 turbo because of missing LTE features in the dual sim version. first issue - no multi user! WTF... about a week after my puchase of the moto G3 turbo lenovo/moto communicated that the update for this phone on android 7 has been cancled. even if it is the same hardware as in the moto x play... WOW! what a marketing fail!
- G3 got no andoid 7 update
- multi user is gone
- G3 turbo got no android 7 update
- G4 is basicly the same phone as the G3, pricing is equal, but the G3 had the better cam. still the G3 gets no android 7 update. so you get less for your money
- way to much phones and one worst then the other. moto z, moto z force, moto z play, moto G4, moto G4 play, moto G4 plus, in Brazil for exaple moto G4 with and without TV module, moto E3, moto E3 power - seriously moto, build one good phone in each price range and stop driving costs with junk nobody cares about or understands anymore.
- design issues - the "moto" logo on the frontside of your phones? really - i mean REALLY?
lenovo is not on the right way to bring motorola back on track because their management lacks at least mission and strategy. i think at least they had a vision. but they are failing...

I wouldn't get a Moto phone now, since Moto is owned by Lenovo, because I know Lenovo has a habit of providing one or two updates to their devices then forgetting about them completely after about 6 months of launch. Even HTC was better than that.
