If someone published "Nokia invented mobile phones", you would likely disagree with the statement, but would you let it go unchallenged? What if it was written in an article on bbc.co.uk (not a comment, an published feature article).
Now you could just browse away and never come back "knowing" they published incorrect information making them unreliable. But (potentially) millions of others will take it as fact. Then later you may have to deal with these people. And when people can get quite defensive when what they believe to be true is challenged. Children will bicker, adults will correct.

And just like them apple puts the sensor up in the bezel corner above the display.
Toy are right though about all that waisted space

iPhone 8 will be Galaxy S7's clone, rumor claims. So many rumors but at the end it's going to clear out that more than two thirds of them were fake.

If (really, really) wish that Apple return the headphone jack to it's rightful place. The barometer surely is not enough to warrant the need to remove the headphone jack and so is the Taptic Engine. The iPhone has a lot of bezel, they could justify it by making the camera sensor 1/2.3 or by stuffing in something useful inside, like the Taptic Engine. Or they could just overhaul the design, go back to the mechanical home button, return the headphone jack, thicken the device a bit to remove the camera hump(works for Samsung) and please, I still remember the days when iPhones were $350, make them cheaper.(Like $600 for 64GB base storage.

The galaxy note 7 wasn't the first phone to have an iris scanner, the lumia 950xl had it before and is still not the first phone with an iris scanner. That would be the Fujitsu ARROWS NX F-04G

Wow an iPhone with wireless charging, Oled screen and now a retina scanner, Apple are just so innovative....
It's just such a pity they can't invent a decent media interface unlike iTunes..........

Always late but it sell well, why? STATUS! Why you buy iPhone? Hell you are cave man! Because it iPhone! Apple! S. Job! Dont you understand.
I was own 4, 5, 6, skip 7 and will skip 8 too probably. Bad luck for me!

The comment that Note 7 had first iris scanner shows how little the people at gsmarena know about other phones they are devoted to Samsung and apple.P.S Lumias had iris scanner before Note 7.
