Same thing happens to iphones, after 2 updates in 1-2 years time, they become so annoyingly bad in performance, most users tend to change and pay up for companys newest flag....
Thats mostly how apple and samsung sell so much devices...
Thats how most consumer electronic companies work nowadays to get most profit.

Samsung is clever enough to make it's phones in a way that after afew months of use it starts the play,it works so laggy so you are aught to buy their new producs as the produce many models,perhaps 20 models each year, let's count GALAXY A3,5,7,8,9 then J1,3,5,7,1prime,1mini prime,Galaxy C5,C7,C5 pro,C7 pro,Galaxy S series,Galaxy Note series,Galaxy core prime, Galaxy ooffff I got F'ed up tired

Using additional DRAM is an old technique that had been used for quite some times now to increase frame rate per second. Sony cant patent an already existing technique. High speed camera had been using dram too. This technique also used a lot in gaming technolgy to increase the fps in gaming.

Samsung always bragging too much but in the end never come true! Just like it bragging it flexible smartphone for years but still never launch it into the market, such marketing strategy is very pathetic to Samsung fans, they waiting until they old already-!

Why won't they make an 120fps 1080p cam/sensor or 2560p on 120fps.
720p is down now.
Don't get me wrong it's a good feature but 720p is still a con.
