Every company copies from each other. But at least Samsung does it properly. Sony Phones are known for lasting up to one year and then having problems.

But what do we get? An ultimate device with all the latest technology making it superior than all those phones whose USP features are incorporated by it. As a customer I care about getting everything in my phone. Why would a customer care about copying when he is getting a device which has everything available in the market distributed in different phones. When the first car with air bags launched, other companies didn't say that we won't copy such thing. Nothing is exclusive, if Sony makes a phone with amazing camera then I'd love to buy a phone who copied and made a better camera instead of a phone who put an inferior camera by saying that we don't copy other brands.

The majority of S7 and S7 Edge use Samsung ISOCELL Sensors, so there goes your Sony sensor mambojambo out the window.

A Camera Sensor is just one part, the algorithms that deal with post processing are just as important.

As a Sony fan you should know this, as they are good at making at the hardware but terrible at the algorithms hence their phones are never the best in imaging.

Samsung are always making very clever moves especially with Media in our Smartphones, the Galaxy S7 Edge to this day is up there with the very lastest smartphones in the Camera department, nobody even cares about the old XZ that was average at best. :)

Sony is ahead on this.... even big DSLR camera maker buys photo-sensor from Sony.
