Not very long after the power banks were covered, another accessory has made its way out of the bag.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2017Actually, Android 7 Nougat supports desktop like multi wind... moreYes it's nice to see Google beat MS in a feature MS should have had first. Honestly, I have a feeling Samsung will go down the path of full windows with it's DEX solution eventually. Samsung and MS have been partnering and Samsung wants to go all in on hybrids/2-in-1's and get more shares in this area. Being able to provide an already existing mobile solution in the form of android and only a PC solution when it's needed via DEX would be pretty sweet. MS's partnership with Samsung may convince more to put UWP apps in the store but also convert w32 apps using project centennial. It would be nice running Chrome, Opera, newsleecher, full office etc while having my samsung phone docked.

How a lower... moreWell, never used a phone for more than 2 years because it got replaced when I simply had the money or because I destroyed it, since 2010 I had only one phone with removable battery which was LG Optimus Black, very bad phone BTW, and LG has very bad batteries that die within 1 year.

AnonD-237381, 22 Mar 2017Yeah, removable battery with bad endurance, I don't see how... moreAre you kidding me or just lack imagination?

How a lower capacity but removable battery IS a plus:

      1) You can carry a spare at minimal cost and instantly double its effective capacity as the top up is instant (you can't do the same with mobile chargers, their top up is anything but instant)

      2) Since the battery is user removable you can simply buy a quality one with higher capacity from the get go (those sweet Anker or Mugen ones)

      3) Even if you use a single OEM battery at first you can always swap it with a new one, so in a year or so the sealed battery even though starting with more battery would have *less* due to its aging cells. A swappable OEM means that after a year of use you buy a new one replenishing the aging cells. Effectively having better battery for the majority of the phone's life.

Now you tell me. What's good with sealed batteries? Is it looks? 4 years ago a Chinese company managed to keep high quality materials with removable battery: https://www.cect-shop.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/j/i/jiayug5_blk_12_1.jpg

Is it the ability to be waterproof? Galaxy S5 managed to do it without ditching the removable scheme.

I tell you what it is: Time anD again models show that it helps boost longe term sales. Because a lithium battery is the first thing to die in a phone. After 300-500 cycles (depending on the pattern of use) a lithium battery basically does not make the day anymore. That's anywhere from 1.5 to 3 years of use for most people. That's significant as it droves sales given that in the end you'd *need* a new phone not kowing why your phone can't make the day, thinking it s*cks.

It's called planned obsolescence and companies are masters of it. Mostly because there are people like you (and review sites) basically supporting it. So we get worse products in the hopes that more money will fall into the coffers of the industry. How about that?

Features on basic apps. Features in the settings. Features in the whole OS. User experience is worse compared to Windows.
Windows is even more customizable than Android if we go there.

It lacks basic features , it's a barebone experience that's why it goes faster with similar amounts of ram. Give 6GB on android phones and see them go as fast as windows phones all the while having 10 times the features. I much prefer bulking up the hardware (it's cheaper as hardware follows the moore's law so it always gets cheap fast) than cutting software to make it seem that "your" OS is more efficient (it's not! Cut the BS).

Fearghast, 22 Mar 2017If it actualy works at least. I have tried it half an year... moreIt actually works quite well these days. Edge has gotten faster, especially if you're on the insider build. They let you turn off your phone screen without it sitting on all the time. Apps switch quickly and there are more UWP apps. Is it still what it should be? No. MS has had all this time to perfect it but it seems they have been sitting on it. They keep stressing it as an important feature but they aren't really doing much with it. Multi window support was promised a while back and now they seem to have abandoned windows mobile for full windows 10 on arm with adaptive shell.

For 150euros you can buy a dedicated Chinese tablet who can do all that by default and don't waste us precious mobile on such pitty tasks. A 1000$ flagship should not be wasted on streaming.
As for gaming, connect a controller, or mouse directly to your phone and cast it to your TV already works good enough... Unless Samsung locks this feature too and force to pay 200$ more for that now considered an extra feature. Our fault, we should demand the support for MHL that was taken away, more fiercely. We did swallow it like the lack of support for radio. With Spotify now blocking out all freebies, we will soon start paying monthly fees for what was free not long time ago...
