Don't need this. Microsoft continuum is a way better for switching app, multitasking, efficiency, reliability, accuracy and organizing, you should try it once

Using a phone + docking station as a desktop might sound and look cool but in reality it's not practical and can be pain in @$$ in day to day use.
A better solution is to buy something like Intel NUC Mini PC.

Sorry Samsung i appreciate the spirit of you guys to provide a unique experience for the users but this accessories is just waste of money and resources.

        Active cooling
        USB 2.0
        100Mbit LAN
        HDMI 4K@30

Dammit Samsung, where is 4K@60 these days? SOC can handle it.
Where is USB-C or at least USB 3.0? You can take nice photos and videos and you tranfer them via USB 2.0? Are you kidding me?

This is realy poor implementation of Docking device.

[deleted post]You have Chromebooks for doing all of that, and they're slowly getting pushed out of the market, as they're mostly a niche product with no real usability other than media streaming and internet browsing. And some Android apps.

AzureLord, 22 Mar 2017Bruh. you gotta be kidding me. ever since Android marshmell... moreI'm running Android Marshmallow and its RAM management is far worse than that of Windows 8.1 phones.

I have the P9 lite running Android 6 on 3GB of RAM and is far worse than my old Windows phone 8.1 (Lumia 925) on 1GB of RAM. (2013 phone)

Even simple things like opening up long email chains (15 MB+) takes 15-30 seconds to render on the P9 lite, while my old Lumia 925 opens up the same email chain in 2-3 seconds. Then, if I want to switch to a web browser, whatsapp, and open up some other attachments, the phone gets dead slow and has to reload everything all over again. No issue with doing all of these on my Lumia.

So yeah... Android still needs to catch up big time to Windows's efficiency, memory management, and multitasking performance if they want to have a Continuum-like feature or if they want to even have a chance in the business sector. That's why real business professionals always avoid Android devices.

They're ok-ish for the average consumer who only uses their device(s) to stream media, post on social networks, and play games, but that's about it. If they want to offer an option to use a large screen for productivity, then they need to greatly improve the OS in order to at least catch up to Windows.

So what's the point in running Android phone apps on a large screen? Not to mention that multitasking is never good on Android due to the almost non-existent memory management.

Might be good for multimedia streaming though, but that doesn't require cables anyway.

But even so, it's good to see Android phone makers trying to catch up to Windows phones features. Give it a few more years and they will also adopt the minimalistic interface and the live tiles features. By then Windows phones will offer holographic user interfaces and so on. :)

Sent from my superior HP Elite X3.

                                Continuum-like feature made by Samsung!

It's true, this is very Microsoft/Windows phone like feature but I think Microsoft missed its adaptation from using it on WP phones. Samsung DeX experience might brought the feature to a much more bigger mass.
