The 2013 original had a S4 Pro, which is what is in the 2012 Nexus 4. The 2014 Moto X has the 801, but the top of the line in 2014 was the 805. The 2015 Moto X has the 808 when the 810 was the top of the line. The overall experience of the phone made the fact that they did not have the most powerful GPU not matter that much.

The gpu in the sd625 performs similar to the one in the original moto x.

Blech. If that's the new Moto X it has nothing that made the original Moto X phones great. It doesn't have the ergonomic curved back. No stereo front facing speakers. Super ugly "Moto" log on the front. And it has a mediocre chipset; the real Moto Xs head whatever the latest top of the line chipset was.
This phone looks like just another rip off of the HTC One. Lenovo has really ruined Motorola.
