LG was criticized for first placing the volume rockers at the back but it felt natural, huawei and many others(until now) were criticized initially for fingerprint scanners at the back but that proved very friendly after use and now Samsung is getting a nerd for that. It's unconventional yes but lets see how that passes the test of time. Myself I don't like front home/fingerprint buttons and capacitive keys, I love the front of my phones clean

alright, if it were an iphone, it would be the reinvention of fingerprint scanner position, but since its not an apple product, its "bad".

The-Bird, 29 Mar 2017Disappointed with the awkward placement of the fingerprint ... moreI'm sure you never used a galaxy S phone and just trying to manipulate people by mentioning S7 as better, you were going right in the beginning like you really didn't like the fingerprint sensor but then you revealed how you never liked anything, I mean curved screens are around from a couple of years now and no one actually bought the flat screen versions tho edge versions were more expensive. I've an S6 edge and 2600 mah battery or still not too bad, it still gives me 12 hours of normal operations including messenger /kik / videos and alot of surfing on net while using other apps like ordering food (after shortlisting among a number of restaurants and menu) booking movies etc,using Amazon etc.. Wait for the actual battery results before commenting. S8 is the best smartphone and the only thing which will be better than it will also be from Samsung. I don't have anymore hopes from LG, Sony and Apple. Don't try to bring those Chinese brands with it.

When these get released, the internet will be awash with bokeh-type-effect pictures, but instead of the background being blurred, the whole picture will be blurred instead. ;D

Disappointed with the awkward placement of the fingerprint sensor. On screen navigation buttons was never Samsung's playground. Miss the home button here. Samsung should have placed the fingerprint sensor on the home button and preserved the touch keys. No stereo speakers. Hybrid SIM slot is another disappointment. 3000 & 3500 mAh battery is not acceptable anymore. No flat screen versions so that's sad. Minor camera update. I conclude the S8 and S8+ are minor upgrades from the S7 series. Samsung destroyed the beautiful design of S7 series. I think the S7 and S7 Edge has much better design than the S8 and S8+. The curved bezels look flimsy. Samsung didn't get it right this time...

this is how ridiculous sammycrappy can get without any brillant idea, they cant put the fingerprint under display because they know it will burn your finger, so they can put it side to camera and do a warning in camera to let you know you have buy a crappppppy phone with craaaapy fingerprint placement!
hope this will make the camera useless when you scratch the glass protection of the camera with so many cleaning.
