... more1) Actually Samsung used to have the *best* camera. So you admit it's a step back
2) The battery would probably be the worst of all flagship. Its screen (60% of total power consumption) uses 25% more power yet use the same battery as last year. The *worst*
3) Basically the same resolution/quality for 3rd year in a row (even according to displaymate), all you get is a tAller screen which tallness is useless to half the apps.
4) Best S phone ever, they only one to be usable 4 years after each release and still look better than many/most current phones. Install LineageOS and see it take flight, buy a spare and enjoy zero charge + infinite battery (when taking the spare with you). Only thing that aged is the camera, even the screen still looks spectacular (95% of what S8 screen looks). No wonder it sold almost twice than what S8 would sell. People can see through gimmicks.

Great battery?
Lol, that's a good one. S8 is set to have the worst battery than any 2017 flagship. They used to be by far the best, but then sealed the batteries.
Best display?
Possibly, but that's only because of the their amoled tech. Meaning that they pretty much sport the same or similar quality for the last 3 years or so, no good reason to buy their new model over their old one, the differences in picture quality are minimal to no existent. Also their screen consistently sucks for VR despite Samsung also being the one pushing VR.
Best looks?
Like a elongated remote control. Easily the most weirdest looking phone of 2017. Not exactly a good thing for many.
As you can see Samsung indeed *used* to be best (S4 anyone?) but it's all downhill since. You remember how great company that company was and think it still is, but at this point they don't even care. They're a cauldron made of bad decisions and incompetence.
They're out of touch with what people actually need.

I have a OnePlus2, and will never buy a phone over $400 (if OP+ goes at $500, I'll switch to LeEco or something like that), but let't be honest, when it come to displays, Samsung is unmatched.

How about decency and innovation, and something that actually worth the money? I do not see a reason for somebody in his right mind to buy this device over s6 s7. They are cheaper, way cheaper nowadays and have nothing less a human will ever noticed;). Bit the best claiming part? Now, let's ley low cause they aren't and will probably never be;)

The S7 is great and all reports indicate that the S8 is even better. I'm guessing you haven't owned a high end Samsung in the past few years... just keep on hating though.

User experience is one of the things that draws me towards these phones... After me and my girlfriend switched from Apple last year, we have absolutely loved the experience so far.. Our s7 edge phones have blew us away in every aspect.. We just ordered these phones after trying them out at a best buy the other day... Can't wait!
