It reminds me of the V3i Gold D&G phone, though this one is not even comparable, it looks very nice I hope it's going to come out faste,

why so much money though? :/

the touchscreen is intresting, but i dont like touchscreens phones i've been working down in a wholesale store with alot alot of phones i found the touchscreen to be fun with a stylus but when its cold the touchscreen not just that sometimes doesnt work, but with gloves its so annoying to type etc etc

i've been reading that people are talking about the iPhone in this forum aswell, but iPhone i think is garbage (in my opinion)

not a 3G phone, and if it was a 3G phone the battery will die faster, the design is sick, but as we ALL know (the people who had/has ipods, how bad they scratch and how ugly they become after) and i dont feel like carrying a freaking leather case with me anywhere I go, I never took my ipod out of the case and it still has few scratches,

LG did a great job, but why touch screen?:/

Sony Are a great company becuse the have the higest quality products, without them we would have no bench mark for quality and would be brushed off with substandard electrical goods. eg. lg phones

    Sony to stay!

        if sony goes down:

-->canon will lead as the only no. 1 digital camera maker in the world.(no cybershot)

-->IPOD, together with iriver, creative, samsung, archos will lose a great competitor. and i think that would be great for them.(no network walkman, vaio pocket).

-->LCD TV leader samsung would not have a very big competitor and will reign the market solely.(no Bravia)

-->people who loves to have excellent multimedia would stick to the expensive N-series and Iphone.(no SonyEricsson)

-->SD,CF,MMC will have no competition with the one of the most reliable memory cards available, the memory stick(no MS-Duo/pro/micro/pro duo.

-->JVC and others will have no handycam to battle with image/video quality and HD-quality.

-->Wii and 360 won't have any direct competition but only themselves(no PS)

-->nintendo will solely reign as the king of game consoles(no PSP)

i think you like this, am i right?

I'm not making any assumptions here either...it was just my
personal opinion. I would love to see an empiring company like SONY go down the drain....but we all know that's not gonna happen.
            PS3 won't do too well either, I don't think.
But yeah, it's true about SONY's LCDs.... they're definately one of the best quality products on the market today.
Personally I'm a big fan of SONY's audio products. It rates top marks from my personal experiences. But as I have said before, I would love to see the an empiring company go down. I hate the fact that SONY is trying to dominate the market by making products that are only compatible with their own products (tried and failed...and now have opened they eyes).

i can agree with mandy because of that clarification, and that can be the reason why SE won't put carl-zeiss lens in K800(though it's quality is already stunning) but i doubt LG to produce that good camera phone cause they had no expertise in equipping an unusual lens type in their cellphones,
look at how nokia messed-up people. they managed to produce wow-factor image quality mostly in macro shots but look at the fine details at the edges, the colors have been washed-out mostly in night shots. if only nokia has extensive color adjustment settings and full manual mode then this will be remedied, photo experts would know what i mean. it's because nokia lacks intelligence in making very good mobile-imagers, so they decided to put C-Z's label to their imagers so people won't doubt their imaging abilities, hopefully LG would realized this. in other part of the story, K750's camera is already very excellent, though lacks popularity against N90 before... so SE decided to put in K800 the Cybershot to add more features like the "1-second, 9-picture bestpic mode" and xenon flash and to attract more fans/buyers in the cybershot camera realm. that can be the reason why more and more costumers prefer K800 than N73 as mobile digital camera of now=D.

anyway, if sony is loosing money, that can be caused by the high-price implicated in their products, though people already knew because "it's a sony". but just witness it's performance and features where sony is really known for that in the recent decades. just look at Bravia,PS3,PSP,Explod,Sparkling WEGA,HANDYCAM Cybershot, VAIO pocket, VAIO PC and Network-Walkman. and add -ERICSSON aren't they excellent?

i'm not sure that i would like a touch screen. i like the iPhone allot better, even though it has a touch screen two. and another bad thing is that it has to cost so much $.

this phone looks really good and has the potential to be better than the iphone but like the chocolate it will break alot. It will soon after bottoming out comeout in a range of colors to try and boost the sales like hot pink, wine red, and white. This will not change the fact it is and lg.

u know? it would be absolutely uncomfortable to use SMS or playing game. that design is quite a cool. but that has too many negative things. big LCD will spend battery really fast.

I think that this phone will be very hard to txt for ppl with big fingers (men) due to the fact that it is so narrow, more a girls version of the iphone. Not only that given lg choc record with faults ( third most faulty phone after mot v3 and nok6111) i wouldnt trust an LG

It isn't multi-touch like the iPhone. I DO like the size of the LG Prada though, unlike the overweight iPhone.

The phone is nice but to expensive for the features,i would rather expend 600 Euros with a Nokia N or E series. For example the N80 is a great symbian phone with Wlan. So, conclusion the pest mobile phones nowdays are the ones using Symbian platform

Given that the iPhone was just announced last week, and that it probably takes more than six or seven days to develope a phone, and that the design of the iPhone was a huge really well kept secret, it doesn't seem likely that LG could have ripped off Apple's design.

Also, the all touch screen idea has been around since before the iPhone came along. Look at these links.
                                      http://mobileburn.com/imagepop.jsp?Id=2957&file=%3Cimg+src%3D%22media%2Fneo%2F808i%2Fthumb_slide.jpg%22+width%3D%22150%22+height%3D%22101%22+alt%3D%22Neo+Slide%22+pos3+%2F%3E
                                      http://www.palmblvd.com/articles/2006/10/2006-10-9-Nokia-Aeon-All.html
                                      http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/4808
                                      http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Page=2&Id=547

That last link leads to a phone from 2003 that also features a motion sensor for changing the screen to landscape, like the iPhone's accelerometer. So Apple is not so original. They just did a good job putting some ideas together that other people already had. (Which is what Apple is good at, remember the Mac design was ripped off from Xerox!)

And the look of the iPhone itself clearly borrows from LG's successful "chocolate" look. So I think LG deserves some credit there.

Anyway, these sort of phones seem like they're probably going to replace all the keypad based phones we're used to. Touchscreen technology seems poised, perhaps, to move beyond it's clumsy past. Here's hoping they work well.

i'd rather buy this phone than iphone.
it seems like iphone might has a better functions and UI
but this phone look smaller and easier to carry it around.
i phone has only 5 hrs of battery life using
mp3, movies etc..5 hrs too short for using full functions
of iphone. since i owned nano and the video, i doubt their battery life. On the other hand..design and everything,
this phone looks better and simple.
i'm using SE W810i, but i would like to switch this when its released. LOVE THE DESIGN!
