iPhone 8 allegedly runs Geekbench, destroys the competition

Past iPhones, Samsung's newly released Galaxy S8 duo - none even come close to the results obtained by the next iPhone's chipset.

No android chipset come even close in single score to iPhone 6s, it is getting embarrassing. Galaxy s16 might reach iphonex8 numbers :) I hate iPhones, but bowing against they chip division, they are the best

        Considering the SoC hasn't even been made yet, it would be difficult for this to be genuine. TSMC's 10nm has only just begun production.

            Apple does not make anything, they are a software and design company.
            TSMC makes A10 and will make A11 on ARM architecture.
            They can say anything the want but it is the same arm instructions everyone else uses.
            I have personal Iphone7 and work galaxy S7.
            We where using Iphone as company phones for years and last year went to Galaxy.
            So I bought me an I7.

            In my experience Galaxy is a much better phone, never had a single issue while I had to reinstall iphone twice, it went to the service once.
            Android apps are cheaper, and s7 performance was flawless, while I7 had a lot of lockups and it lags at times. I was so pissed at the phone and Itunes the other day it almost went out of the window.

            Few weeks a go we puled out old I-phone 5 and the original google nexus, upgraded them to latest possible (Android 5.? for nexus) and nexus (6 years old) is faster and more responsive then I5; It's like apple is limiting performance on there phones as the get old just so you buy the new one.

            No more Iphones for me, as soon as the contract expires I am getting rid of it and staying on Samsung.

            Just my opinion dont hate.

                What do you mean ? The copy paste between a PC ? Who freaking cares , we copy it through iTunes , iCloud Drive or any other service with out even having to connect the phone. And yes , I'd raher have the stability and speed of iOS rather a choice of launcher or what ever android phones need to work flawless (if that is possible).

                  This point I tend to agree that iphones typically perform still better even after two years of purchase(,three years sometimes). Whole Android system probably deliberately throttled so that you are forced with an upgrade sooner than Iphones

                      By contrast S8 has different looks but same internals (same ram, same battery, only 10% faster SoC). S8 is an elongated S7 ... there I said it. Once people see that it does not perform better than S7 in pretty much anything and it's merely a phone with an awkward aspect ratio will stop buying.

                      S6 started with great presales too and it's the worse selling S phone since S2 that's how bad it is.

                      S4 (no gimmicks, just best hardware): 80 mil
                      S5 (some gimmicks): 55 mil
                      S6 (mostly gimmicks and looks): 45 mil
                      S7 (some gimmicks but also good hardware): ~50 mil
                      S8 (basically gimmicks and looks): ?

                      ... My bet is 45 mil at best (S8 I mean). It's the most gimmicky of all S phones ever.

                        i8 is same as i7 is same as i6 etc etc. Same phone, different name.

                        Besides if you look into it the inside of the iPhone is made largely by Samsung anyway.

                                  You can't compare Android to IOS.

                                  Android provides a significantly richer user experience while IOS is 10 years. DOS was pretty fast compared to Windows too, but would you use it based on speed alone?

                                  As a user of both systems I can say from experience that I would rather trade off a second to open up Candy Crush than forever be tied down to iTunes every time I wanted to load anything onto my phone.

First Samsung to use the same amount of memory and the same resolution and almost the same battery. It also removed some features. The least well lived Samsung as when lollipop came along it completely destroyed it's performance (owning to only 2GB of ram) . Big bezels killed the ergonomy that S4 so hard tried to build. First Samsung flagship were Samsung Started cutting corners.

                                    A step back from Samsung that only looks good when compared to S6 (which was an even greater step back).

                                    Galaxy S sales from S4 on.

                                    S4: 80 mil (best S phone ever)
                                    S5: ~60 mil (pretty bad , but not terrible)
                                    S6: 45 mil (worst S phone ever)
                                    S7: 48 mil (the first S phone better than its predescessor after a long time, it will probably reach 50 mil)
                                    S8: (speculation) ~45 million (not as bad as S6, but not an upgrade over S7 either hence the lower sales)
