iPhone 8 allegedly runs Geekbench, destroys the competition

25 April 2017
Past iPhones, Samsung's newly released Galaxy S8 duo - none even come close to the results obtained by the next iPhone's chipset.

iphone 6s user here...all these benchmarks are useless unless iOS becomes more user friendly and open. despite having the 6s, i use the 3T far more. even two generations old android is way ahead of the latest iOS. let me know if you need point-by-point examples

Closing in my my Core i7-4770's score. That's hefty, and it doesn't come with a 5 lbs 2-fan cooling system.

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2017This benchmark doesn't use all cores on android, so that do... moreGeekbench uses as many cores on iPhone as it does on android
All 3rd party apps use as many cores on iPhone as they do on android
And you can always have more cpu power, because everything starts up faster and it is future proofing because if this happens like that, the iPhone 8 will run smooth even on iOS 19.

Fandroids searching for excuses that their whole thinking just got annihilated.

This benchmark doesn't use all cores on android, so that doesn't score destroy sh*t, except single core. And as you probably know, android apps mostly use all cores. Also for what would you need that much cpu power. There isn't a single thing that would require that much of it. Can't wait to see iPhone 8 battery results.

I'm impressed. But still, those A chip works just lile intel hyperthreading. So it's technically 8 cores. And what the single core score shown, that's more like 1,5 core, not exactly "single core"
