I don't understand why fanboy r saying sammy copy its design from iphone..yes they can say they have mouth to bark ...matter of fact is that sammy user will have dual core processor so they can get ultimate experience with upcoming icecream firmware while fanboy will wait to apple iphone 6 or 7 ...thats by they r raising their fingure on every company because iphone fanboy will not get dualcore experience...

I dont understand the reason behind this debate..how does it really matter whether Samsung copy Apple or not..there have been other manufacturers which copy as well.. there is no point in singling out Samsung..and really, Samsung sells many more handsets than Apple and do they care about what people say??? I dont think so.. Apple can never be the No1 when it comes to market share because their products are out of reach for most people.. does that make their products the best? No, not by a long shot.. their tech is outdated (always has been).. what they are good at doing is creating exquisite designs..which coupled with the brand name make people flock to buy them.. So Apple = Great design, Mediocre Hardware.. but guys, do give them credit for creating the vision for the future..10 yrs down the line, i guess 95% of handsets will be of the touchscreen variety..yes, even the low cost ones..!!!

And when people say "Oh this phone looks better than the iPhone", "This hardware spec is better than iPhone" it's because iPhone is what everyone relates to, it's a bench mark. This isn't an attack, but simply what they see.

It doesn't look like any iPhones Apple manufactured. Unless you're talking about iPhone 5 that's gonna look like Galaxy S II which Steve Jobs will say it's groundbreaking new design.
You sound like an elementary kids whining to the teacher saying he copied this she copied that.

                          Jokes a side

Samsung has very plain boring design which they stuck with this entire time. The design doesn't get much more basic than that for a bar type phone. Some people find it ugly which I understand, but to say that it's a copy? Understand the meaning of copy before you use it. Shape is copied? How much different looking can a rounded rectangle be from one another except for the sizes? Looks??? It doesn't look like iPhone AT ALL... it's like that same rude stereotypical comment people make how Asian people all look the same. There are clear differences between iPhone design and Galaxy line design. OMFG Samsung made their screens rectangle!! they copied the iPhone. OMFG they have a home button!! they copied iPhone!! Actually, the phone looks significantly different from iPhone with the rectangle home button and cheaper looking plastic back panel. Get over it, bar type phones look similar but they aren't the same, and definitely not a COPY.

As a competitive company Samsung entered the tablet market along with RIM, LG, ASUS, Motorola, HTC, etc. Apple was the first to try the tablet market, but that doesn't make Apple the "inventor" of tablet and everyone else after Apple is a copier. Tablet has been around for a few years now and they all have, in my opinion, the SAME designs shapes etc.

By the way it's those stupid students who don't fix their problems that gets royally screwed on their grade reports and when they come out of school. Many "problems" that existed on iOS remains unresolved throughout the 4 major updates and they probably will not get resolved after 5 major updates. It's always the same problem with iOS every time a new iPhone is released that doesn't make me want to get it.

If Samsung is really a copycat, Apple should have sued them. But are there any cases filed against Samsung? No!

Fact #1: Nokia has has five cases filed against Apple for ingfinging on Nokia's Symbian patents.

Fact #2: Samsung supplies liquid crystal displays, processors and NAND flash memory chips to Apple

So just accept that in a free market, products compete for market share. And Samsung is fast gaining that market lead in smartphones currently held by Apple.

i dont know but its not bad copying new ideas from other brands, its business, its competition, this is not about arts or love where we have to be sentimental about things..in fact i will never maybe buy an iphone its too expensively impractical and the limitations to itunes and costly applications.. but thanks too samsung we get a chance to experiece good things iphone has while still enjoy samsungs technology..its like mx mrtial arts we dont limit ourserlves but copy and adapt the best nd make perfection

Even worse, copying apple with their tablet and then making another tablet just after apple announced their new one, it's getting sick! And it just shows how this company has no brains to think at all. They just work hard by copying others.

Nokia have been using the same arrangement for years and so does the Apple Newton. What we are talking about is the design of the icons which is a square with rounded edges and comes in different colors. That is what Samsung ripped from Apple. It's not the arrangement but the design. Samsung lacks originality.

When a company looks at its competition and makes something better, more powerful, more efficient, etc then it's called improvement, advance in technology, enhancement, NOT copy. Copy would be using the exactly the same things as competition. Samsung hardware is obviously more powerful than its current competition.

BTW The checkerboard like arrangement of icons have been around for decades, the icon designs including the ones in iPhones have been around for decades. Talk about copy...

If buyers want the "IPhone-experience" and want to have almost the same user-interface like on IPhones, but can not buy the very extremly expensive IPhone made by Apple, then a phone from Samsung is a good choice. If Apple start making less expensive phones, then Samsung would be forced to invent something "unique" for Samsung to make buyers chose their phones and not any phone from Apple, but Androids still have Flash 10.1 and Apple will stupidly never make any IPhone with support for Flash 10.1, and that makes Samsungs "copy" better than the "original".

The problem is that Samsung put on a square-ish background on them to make them similar to the icons found on the iPhone. Samsung is the only OEM who does that and you won't find it on SE, HTC, or LG Android phones. Samsung ripped Apple's designs.
