ayonedot, 15 Sep 2020why reply after 3 years?I think they mean that zRAM is enabled on OnePlus 5 which gives better results than a phone without ZRAM.

It's a Linux kernel feature. Though benchmark apps aren't representative of what a user **would** do because it's essentially putting the CPU & GPU to the max which is abnormal and not what you will see in real life.

AnonD-671790, 24 May 2017I'm sorry, but I do have to agree. You're not answering ... moreI seriously don't understand what is going on anymore. I'll go through the WHOLE situation:
'Anonymous' asks: "Which one has higher benchmark score ? Oneplus 5 vs Nokia 9"

matias98 replies: "OnePlus 5" ~ That is ALL he/she put, that was IT.

I, '-NEOPHYTE-' reply to 'matias98': "Wrong. They were tested on 2 different programs (i.e. GeekBech 3 and GeekBench 4)." ~ That was the main gist, I put some examples of some handsets with different scores on the different GeekBench versions, and some links. I left that out to keep this comment as short as possible.

'matias98' replies to ME with: "I'm guessing you don't even know what you're talking about. I'm not talking about that...." ~ instead of him/her to tell me what they were talking about, they left it open to the wind for anyone to guess. Thanks...

My confusion already sky high, I then reply to 'matias98': "Where did you get this from???"~ they haven't yet explained why the OnePlus 5 has higher scores than the Nokia 9, I had already looked at GSMArena's GeekBench scores and saw that they (Nokia 9 & OnePlus 5) were tested on 2 different versions, so I assumed that they had mistakenly used these values to respond...

'matias98' then replies: "Yet, you still give incorrect answers. Try again, buddy!" ~ This just pissed me off frankly...

I then explained the, then current situation to 'matias98' (as I'm doing again now) and asked AGAIN: "Where did you get the idea that the OnePlus 5 has better benchmark scores then the Nokia 9?" ~ still haven't gotten an answer btw... >:(

You, 'rmstar99222' then replied to ME: "I'm sorry, but I do have to agree.
You're not answering matias98's answer properly." ~ I HAVE NOT GIVEN ANY ANSWERS, I'VE ONLY ASKED QUESTIONS. NOBODY IS ANSWERING MEEEEEE! AND SINCE WHEN DID PEOPLE START RESPONDING TO ANSWERS....WITH MORE ANSWERS?!?!?!?

Only the dumbest fanboys don't know this. Even the average Apple fan on the street would tell you Samsung has the best hardware technology.

So nobody uses t... moreThose are real-world applications and while not your average everyday apps people do use them. But my point for linking to those two specific tests in my first post was because they are demanding and show the power of the SoC. You said the A10 is not faster or even slower than the Snapdragon which is simply not true. Where CPU is actually needed the A10 is clearly a lot faster.

I'm not saying the Oneplus 3T is slow compared to the iPhone on everyday apps, not at all. Its snappy with its fast animations (which is a design decision, not a sign of a fast CPU) But its because todays SoC are fast enough to handle those simple applications, like opening the email app, in no time. I mean even todays middle range SoC handles those apps with ease. And the app opening animation on iPhone is in many cases longer than the actual opening of the app. Its not a test of the CPU, its not the bottleneck.

Again, my points was that when you actually put the SoC to work, the A10 is faster, just like Geekbench show.

I have not seen one bit of "modern technology" since nokia stoped producing and you come here with this lame words? You underestimate Nokia my boy, big time. Now, i know everybody likes to stay and praise their beloved money eating company's, but to claim somthing like this, you gotta be unknowing. Nokia has the patents, the network, the knowledge, the energy, and now, after selling the devices factorys, has the money. Nokia never stoped developing and they are the one's bringing 5g. Yet, you come here with ignorance. Nokia has become the sysadmin of a flood of idiots. Everybody accuse them, blame them, hates them. But funny part, they are the only ones able to do the job. In all this time, where their skills are used to the maximum, comes a dunghead and try's to prove how great he is but never does it, he uses just words and everybody likes and appreciate him. But at the end of the day, the "IT guy" goes home with satisfaction knowing he is the one who actually makes everything work, and they actually work, like a clock. Without him, any company goes down the road of pain, sorrow and bankruptcy. Still, no company will ever appreciate him, only the smart ones, those that have a brain that is also used. This is what Nokia is right now...their is a "but" tough.
