I thought Samsung did their own CPUs.
And why leave out the led?

Why would anyone buy this when the Galaxy S II is coming out at around the same time or very soon after?

So, Samsung launches yet another phone... it's quite annoying, in fact. But the real concern is prices. How come this one is more expensive than an iPad?!??!

Soon, my computer's 3.6 Ghz quad core processor will feel outdated by these cell phones.

Just get the I9000 and overclock it to 1.4 GHz. You'll have all the features of Galaxy S Plus and a better GPU.

I was interested until I saw the compare tool. Any reason why someone would not get an SG2 instead. Will get cheaper though, must be if they want to sell.

not worth the money, just because it has 400 mhz more and a metallic cover.

They should have left the same cpu/gpu compination as the original SGS...no point in slightly upgrading the cpu and massively degrading it's gpu. Seems like Samsung is making awkward decisions with gpu's in their devices this year (Mali400 in SGS2 still has questionable performance).

Galaxy S 2011? This naming strategy is good. Even in automobiles, sportsbikes change technically every 2 years, like Honda CBR, Kawasaki Ninja, etc. but they retain the same name, so that PAST ADVERTISING's BENEFITS REMAIN!

If Nokia could have retained old names, like using the name "N73 2009 model" rather than "N79", then the past advertising could have added up to value, creating legends out of those mobiles!
And they would not run out of model names.

                                        Nice update! :)

I have searched some info about a "Super AMOLED" and its "Burn-In" effect and seams that about 35% of "Super AMOLED" users are telling that their screens are affected by Burn-In effect. And that is pretty sad!
So, it would be useful to know more official news about "Super AMOLED Plus" lifetime and "Burn-In" effect, I think it may be a big disadvantage! :(

What do you think about that?
