But seems there are 2 parties on that point.

Like you said it is only good for vr and I can't give a cr*p about that.
And yes I tried ;)
also hight than 1080 you can't even tell on a 5,5 inch display and it cost you more batterylife.
So I would rather stick with something that looks amazing with a resolution that is just above what you can really see than making the phone even more expensive with a bigger display

3300 mah? That is kind of bad news. The battery capacity was one of the reason that could stop me to buy this phone and 3300 is low a bit. I wish it would be 3600 at least :(

Price hike is NOT justified when comparing to the OnePlus 3 (64GB).
And 1080p screen is good enough 99% of the time, just isn't suitable for VR... but then again there's very few people actually using VR it seems fine.
I would say $500 would be a fair price IF it had a 1440p screen. Otherwise $400 is a good deal. $480 isn't anything special, it's only okay.
My biggest gripe is the 5.5in screen, would've instead wanted something like 5.8in, with Slim Bezels and Dual-front-speaker.
Though, I still need it support Band 28 (700MHz LTE) so it can work on my carrier.

This is going to be the fastest phone this year again with awesome battery life (10nm 835 + 1080p). Those people complaining about 2k screen which is still terrible for VR anyway as well as battery life, they should buy a dedicated VR or a 4K phone for double the price. The hate comments make no sense.

Just to compare devices having same specs.. mi5 vs op3 just look at the build quality.. check jerry rig video for bend test.. also the software.. op3 is just plain android which is way smooth then the laggy mi os shit

Dual cameras, newest sd and so much ram, of course they gonna hike the price. It's not flagship killer then, for that money there's plenty of awesome last year alternatives.

And software is based mostly on AOSP (less custom tweaks). When you think about software just remember that OnePlus is kind of company which offers one of the best software and has very good custom rom support. So if OnePlus stops releasing new OxygenOS updates, you can just flash custom rom as it does not void warranty. Remember. You look kinda newbie, try to learn more about OnePlus.
