After getting every iPhone since the 3GS, the time came to jump ship because Samsung made the perfect phone. Photos in low light. Best screen and design ever. So many features not found elsewhere. And now what, iPhone latest.. Will feature borderless screen like s8? Woohoo.

Aspros, 12 Jul 2017Oh it will, Apple took Nokia's place of being the most know... morethats the problem with stupid society, they always need to show that theyre better than others, but in doing so they actually prove their dumb af. personally i always hide brands and wont even wear any clothes with a brand clearly visible. they dont pay me to advertise their dumb brands so i will not do it. another ridiculous thing is "brand loyalty" those are utter fools. companies dont care about you and you should never buy something just because of its brand.

iPhone 6 series was a lemon with bending, touch disease defect and insufficient 1GB DRAM. I'd be very surprised if iPhone 8 doesn't exceed iPhone 6 sales.

Oh it will, Apple took Nokia's place of being the most known expensive phone. 80% of the ppl it, esp the women, admitting it or not, they are buying it to show off their financial status, by having the status symbol of a most expensive smth.
For 3 years now, few could tell the difference, if you are holding the latest most expensive toy, or last year's and no longer can afford the latest one. Now this is going to be the first of its kind and a definate wealth status symbol. It is going to sell like hot bread, regardless of everything else! It doesn't matter if your iPhone still works, as long as you can get the attention of the Blondy that is looking for a new sponsor and to make sure that you can afford her, she wants to see that you can afford the latest and most expensive iPhone8

All that thanks to those chinese Android companies releasing 120 "different" iPhone copycats a year. The "rich" markets are stagnant, with people keeping their phones up to five years (apparently people learned the value of money) and increasingly relying on second hand phones and carrier contracts. The "developing" markets, them, are flooded with those Chinese companies, promising useless specs to foolish customers (those markets, like India, have phones with big numbers like 6GB RAM, but there's no point of that much RAM, which is often refurb last-gen RAM, so does the other parts. Not to mention always faster LTE despite the theorical 150-1000Mbps promised since the carriers only offer 5Mbps usually) and since they are less wealthy, they either keep their phones even longer than they should or they always run after those cheapo-lame devices.

I have always been an Apple sceptic and will be so in the future, especially because of the absurd pricing. But I have to say that when the iPhone 6 price dropped I bought one to try it, and yes, it's a good phone and a good and stable OS, with regular updates. Looking at all the iPhone 8/X rumors, I really don't see why it would sell so well, but you'll never know, after all it's Apple and many people see that as some kind of religion and always want or need the latest Apple product no matter what price and no matter how much innovation, or the lack of, the new iPhone offers. Personally I think it will sell much better than the 5C, but less than the 6.

The article is right, this isn't 2015 anymore. Smartphones have gotten a lot better since then and even "budget" options rival flagships from just a few years ago - why pay $1000+ when a $200 phone works perfectly for your needs? The only reason it will sell at all is because of the artificial hype train and "status symbol" - most of those sales being to people who make poor financial decisions and can't actually afford one.

This is rather obvious. And it's not just Apple, all manufacturers are (going to be) heading downhill with regards to units sold. People are going to be holding onto their existing devices longer and longer because technology is becoming ridiculously expensive!

It's only logical. iPhone 6 came after Apple kept its poor customers with 4" screens while everyone else enjoyed 5"+ already for 3-5 years.
