Anonymous, 22 Jul 2017Dear Ionix... Z3+, a phone as old as S6 and G4 got 7.... moreThis article is about a 2015 phone getting Nougat, it doesn't mean it has to be 7.1.1.
The S6 got Nougat months before the G4 and they are both from 2015.
So LG is worse than Samsung, but yeah Sony update their flagships fast and to lastest, almost as good as Nexus and Pixel phones.
But Samsung's J series of 2016 and 2015 are getting Nougat, so why not the Xperia E5?

Bebe Rexha, 22 Jul 2017Oh sure. Surely explains why the Z3+, a Q1 2015 flagship p... moreSony's UI is close to stock lol...

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2017how many LG G4 is out there without bootloop?Don't know how many, but mine g4 still alive after bootlooped motherboard repair. And now I worry Android 7 will be even more glitchy on g4 than it was while transition from 5 to 6. They didn't fixed anything but added a lot of bugs - most annoying is bad screen backlight autoadjustment.

Ionix, 22 Jul 2017And people were laughing at Samsung! LG & Sony are way ... moreNougat is a slow update on most flagship 2 years older.

Was about to consider an LG phone until my sister's G4 started having burn-in issues on the screen.
Like, even my budget Zenfone Max doesn't exhibit this issue, and me and my sister bought our devices at the same time, and I'm more of a power user than her.

One thing they have going for are the camera and speaker - damn I've never heard any phone with that loud speaker like on the G4!
And by 2017 standards, the G4 is no longer the best photography smartphone, but it still trumps almost all mid rangers of 2017 and definitely all budget phones this year - that's how impressive the camera on the G4 is!

Everything else is just disappointing though,
Display would've been a selling point as well, only if it never suffered burn in and inaccurate colors (my Zenfone Max can render a lot more accurate reds than my sister's G4 when using YouTube).

Ionix, 22 Jul 2017And people were laughing at Samsung! LG & Sony are way ... moreDear Ionix...

Z3+, a phone as old as S6 and G4 got 7.1.1 twenty four days ago.
While no LG nor any Samsung has 7.1.
                Even Z4 Tablet has 7.1.1.

                XZ, X Perf, X, X Compact, XA, XA Ultra, Z5 Premium, Z5, Z5 Compact, Z4 Tablet and Z4/Z3+ were updated from Android M to N .
4 of them before half December...

E5 is the only phone of 2016 that did not get Nougat. It is a low end. Without low end price , of course...

Ionix, 22 Jul 2017And people were laughing at Samsung! LG & Sony are way ... moreOh sure.
Surely explains why the Z3+, a Q1 2015 flagship phone, received Nougat earlier than the S7 and S7 Edge, the Q1 2016 flagship phones, let alone the S6 series and Note 5.
