I don't see enough reason why wouldn't they update the Z5 series and the 1st gen XA series. As a matter of fact the iPhone 5 is running on iOS 10...

Looks promising , especially if we look back , when Sony upgraded their devices to 7.x Nougat compared to the one we saw back in 6.x Marshmallow . Thanks Sony for providing upgrades for those devices , with even XZ1 and XZ1 Compact released Android 8.0 out of the box .

Sony - Samsung war continues as usual. But it won't make any sense. People will buy any phone they won't. For example I will never buy any Samsung phone.
