The iphones with old batteries will see a decrease in the performance. Some users report the CPU can go low even half of the original GHz performance on their older iphones.

Windows Phone and BlackBerry users should take this as a hint to start making plans to migrate to one of the more mainstream mobile os' s.

Or haven't been able to update apps since late 2016. Only way I knew to force the phone update the apps was to reset the phone, but then it would had to be done again later as WhatsApp notified the application version being too old to be used/supported. One horrible OS, can't even update the apps like every other smartphone-OS could!

WhatsApp already dropped Windows Phone 7 since two years.

The support of Windows Phone 8.0 will stop in five days.
Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile are still supported

                              Anyone still using android 2.3.7?

Whew, dodged a bullet there - my Lumia 1020 is on WP8.1. If they were dropping support for WP8 in its entirety, I would have installed the latest WP10 version supported on my phone.
