The N8 still has probably the most spectacular camera on any phone. There is a lot to be said for the 12mp's and the carl zeiss lenses. Not even other 12mp camera phones have been able to compete with it. I can't believe anyone would rate that Arc that high anyway.

Having a larger sensor allows it to collect more light and thus better pictures. Nokia N8 sensor is the only one that is comparable to the sensor size of compact point and shoot. This shows through picture quality.
And no I don't own an N8, I'm just speaking the facts.

And yes flash is huge battery eater, it ate lot of my battery very fast like never seeing before.

I'd say "stunnig scenes" rather than "stunnig pictures". They're a little washed out...
They remind me Xperia Arc samples, but much smoother.

the only stunning news today are the ignorance of apple and the shame which is called the "new" iphone 4S.
i start to think that jobs´ "illness" was a fake just because apple is not able to build a good phone which is up to date or even able to set trends. so he decided to step back befor the affair ruins his reputation as a "god".
the nexus prime will crush this piece of junk.

Most of us have the option to do both Flash and HTML5 while you don't have the option at all to use Flash. What's even better is that we have option to turn off flash when not needed if battery is the concern.

Maybe for a phone camera image quality of these samples may be considered as "stunning", but even these selected shots taken in very good light reveal (at 100% crop) some obvious noise and lack of fine details most probably due to tiny sensor and really poor lens resolution. Good enough for facebook and.. nothing better.

But you're right, Libya doesn't have 4g so it's obviously not important. As for bluetooth file transfer, sd card expansion, and NFC...these are not important only if you don't have it. Believe me, if Apple announced today that the 4s had all of these, you would write a post about how great they are and how these things make apple king. But since they didn't, these things just aren't that important.

No pt going gaga over the cam... U'll prob see similar sensors and hardware in other brands. And the Nokia N9 has set the standard with f/2.2 and Carl Zeiss. The colours etc are better.
