I tried ICS on the N1... Have to tell you that I prefer GB. The new look is more "cool" but less functional (my opinion).

i have a htc incredible s, bought in april. If it will not be updated, to Ice Cream at least , this is the last Android ever bought.

Hi i own a HTC EVO3D & am awaiting the ICS update thanks HTC to reward your customers & also am pretty sure abt desire & the other older phones are in for some cold icecream

Gosh, there are some sad presumptious people here. The devices mentioned are the obvious choices for ICS. Testing will need to be done on others to make sure that it will work just as well, and HTC needs Benchmarks.

HTC releases high-end phones every fortnight, but doesn't update everyone of them. So eventaully ppl buy the new phones.

They are far more feature packed and smoother than any bloated sense rom. And my galaxy s2 has a very functional Cyanogen mod rom. By nightly 75,they fixed all hardware issues and all nightlies after that were minor polishing of the best rom available.
All this was achieved even with the kernel.org breach which lasted a month and Cyanogen moving cities for his new job.
So I do think that ICS will be ported over for supported phones before any of those bloat roms. ;-)

Unfortunately the HTC Desire S is no longer being produced and superseded by other phones but this does not mean that HTC has abandoned additional software support for the phone. I am almost certain that the Desire S will be available to be updated in the near future.

I am an Htc flyer owner and we were promised an update when the flyer was released so when ICS comes out we will be 2 updates behind. I dont expect to get ICS on my tablet but i do expect Htc to keep their word.

Tin, 07 Nov 2011How about the HTC Desire/Bravo?!To be honest, I don't expect HTC Desire to be upgraded to ICS. I recently ran Cyanodgenmod 7.1 on the phone with apps backed to the rim and the browser could barely sustain. I understand that there needs to be some additional room for cache and history to be stored and I allocated 2-4mb for that but the phone continued to performed poorly. I guess you can port it but for anyone intending to install dozens of apps should be wary.

But, Google has already promised that the Nexus S will get the ICS update soon! So, I guess devices with 1GHz processors can run the ICS!

you will prob ICS is only designed for high end dual core specs.
It just wont run efficiently on anything else

I have all ready give up my HTC phone for a Samsung, I don't think that HTC will do what they say, remember HTC Desire update to gingerbread...

everybody read htc statement. they have said this is the first wave, so we have to wait for further information. patience is required. even im eager but just be patient to get a good rom and sense which doesn't lag.

1)HTC updates desire s with sense version 3.0,& while it's specs are similar to Inc S & HTC Desire HD they dont get the updates.
2)Sense 3.5 bullshit.
3)And now No ICS updates for INC S & Desire HD.
What is HTC doing? I used to like HTC a lot but the first thing i'm doing today is sell my Inc S. Carry on this way and you are going to lose more customers.
